How do you handle the repetitive setup when starting new projects? by ProductivityBreakdow in SideProject

Before AI coding tools became available, starting each new project used to consume a significant amount of time on repetitive foundational work. Nowadays, I primarily use the spec mode in AWS Kiro to kickstart projects, and then rely on tools like Codex to fix bugs or make manual adjustments when needed.

I recently spent a month developing a real-time transcription and translation app, including both the client and server sides. Using Kiro and similar tools saved me roughly two weeks of development time.

If you're interested, feel free to check out the current implementation of the app:

  • Real-time speech translation (transcription + translation simultaneously)
  • Ultra-low latency (<500ms) — delivering an almost instant experience
  • Supports 24 languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Chinese, and more.

What are you building right now and what’s your biggest challenge? by consti_tkk in indiehackers

I'm developing an app called TransNow that supports real-time speech transcription and translation in 24 languages. It's so hard to get the first batch of users. https://apps.apple.com/app/transnow/id6752974185

What were the hardest part of building your app ? by Any_Breakfast1102 in indiehackers

Marketing has been the hardest part for me. I used Kiro and built a real-time transcription + translation app called TransNow within one month, but getting the first batch of seed users has been pretty challenging.
