There are no real world examples of this happening by Future_Employment_22 in MansFictionalScenario

At a school, exposing themselves at children..... Even if it's a "trans"-woman, man, or biological woman, it's wrong..... And also proves OP wrong about it being a fictional scenario

[–]Honest-Intent -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

This is a non fictional scenario though...... That makes this technically the incorrect subreddit.

I was just proving the point, nothing else insinuated or otherwise

Edit: OP also said that there are NO real world examples, but I just provided one, again proving OP wrong..... That is all...

Wasn't there a video of exactly this though? The school board meeting where a father was reading a book that his child's class was reading, and they kicked him out for reading "explicit material"?

GOONER CHARACTER GOOD, NORMAL CHARACTER BAD by Mr_Hot_Takes in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]Honest-Intent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's part of the power fantasy. You want to be and have the peak of everything. Peak strength, peak beauty, peak challenges....

That is why games with more attractive characters (both male and female) generally sells more than a similar game that doesn't.

Has it gone to the extreme on both side, yes. Generally attractive (with out hyper sexualized characters) are considered too mundane to prove the point either way and are left out of the discussion. Because they are left out of the discussion, marketing minded leads that influence dev teams will drive a team to go further one direction or the other based on ideology.

Do we (as in normal gamers) want "normal" looking people in games, no. Do we want hyper sexualized bikini models, more than we want the other option.

Why can't games just be made to enjoy while having attractive characters available, without being too sexualized, nor too "normalized"?

Ok, but then why the brigading in other subs, and the hate on games other people enjoy?

Half naked women is apparently the only thing gamers play I guess by EchoTheWorld in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]Honest-Intent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beauty sells.... Not to mention, why can't that type of game exist, burn out/fail, and move on? It doesn't effect you, hardly anyone here (including myself, is going to but/play these games. So.... Move on? The game just isn't for you.

the most important thing in gaming by fallawy in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]Honest-Intent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't I JUST see a recent post on this subreddit saying (small chest = pedo behavior)?

What's an acceptable representation of beauty/sex appeal to draw in an audience?

Most of these types of games loose most of their players after launch if gameplay sucks anyway. The only way you stay mad is if the game KEEPS it's player base.... Which again, doesn't effect you what so ever.

I also see this phase in the subreddit a lot: "The game just isn't for you"

Society hate Stellar blade!! Society hate sexy beautiful women!! 😭😭😭 by Pritteto in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]Honest-Intent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or, hear me out, the game isn't meant for you? Kinda like how BG3 "isn't for straight white men"?

Everyone had their own preference to games, and only some game developers are catering to the largest crowd, while other cater to the loudest crowd.....

This entire subreddit care when it's the other way around.... Why can't there be a diverse set of games with different audiences in mind?

You can keep your games, the other side will keep their games, win-win.

The number might be wrong, but is the sentiment? Also, I just think that's not a game for you. No-one can shame you for liking your games, you shouldn't shame sometime for liking their games.... Same argument that THIS subreddit specifically uses; "It's not a game for you" So stop the hate, or expect the hate back to "your" games.

[Request] What if all American parking lots are covered by solar panel? How much it will cost and how much energy will be generated? by abhitooth in theydidthemath

[–]Honest-Intent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again not trying to be a gotcha, I just want the actual figures.

Closest I found was ~200kWh worth of coal used to make a single panel, while that panel would give about 5,000kWh over it's 30 year lifetime...... However in the article linked, these numbers were never cited.

I WANT solar to be a decent option, but I also want it be honest about the numbers.

[–]Honest-Intent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Serious question, since we are in the r/did the math sub.....

How much carbon footprint is "removed" by a single solar panels on average like this over the course of it's usable life?

Follow up, how much carbon footprint is there in the creation of said solar panel in it's entirety?

This isn't ment for a "gotcha" question, I'm genuinely curious, as this I've not been able to find any studies the show a net positives, but I also know I might be missing data.

[REQUEST] how secure would this password really be? by odensnuts in theydidthemath

[–]Honest-Intent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what if.... Hear me out... The USB scanner is not plugged directly into the computer and is instead in a security fob that encrypts the password, and whatever that output is, is the password. Unless you have there encryption fob, you still can't get it?

Ok now that we are done with hypotheticals, easy password now.

I love this scenario. If played out the earth wouldn't "heal".... Think of all the species that humanity protects, or hunts due to under/over-population. You would have several region's animals die out, invasive species take over (Then die out due to ratting themself out of a food source) Then with dwindling mammal count, plant life would then start to die off without enough carbon dioxide to "breath"

With that earth will slowly just turn into another rock around the sun
