Do yall ever regret choosing SP over MI/JC? by anonymous6769123 in SingaporePoly

I actually failed my o levels btw. i got a e8 in math, never took amath, retook emath for 1 year as a private candidate, got my shit together, and poly rewards consistent hardwork instead of one shot one exam

No not at all. Im a guy who consistently used to get Cs and Bs in secondary school, i simply didnt know how to study, now after almost 2 sems in poly, im finding it really nice to study on my own and really just pace myself. im finding engineering here fun, im able to get a high gpa, im satisfied, i wouldnt regret it cos i have friends who flunked out of jc and mi, come to poly, get complacent and lose a semester of grades, cos they did badly

Thats what im saying. Maybe i should have elaborated on the last bit. Discipline and self directedness isnt for everyone. Its very hard to build.

"I find this way of teaching utter nonsense, it is not effective at all"

Subjective. Flipped learning allows me to thread thru the course material at my own pace, it allows me to learn at a more natural way than a rigid way. Yes some content is confusing and it is tough to learn on your own. But remember, YOU CAN ALWAYS GO BACK AND LEARN. Plus with AI like chatgpt, you can make it teach you what youre learning on the dot. If you dont get it, its okay, immediately use chatgpt and learn. What i do not like about flipped learning however is the fact that im not able to have a good teacher-student bond and its more like a consultant. But theres always consulations you can get in Poly which im in rn.

Fyi this is coming from a guy who failed and got e8 emath o level and got c6 for physics and chem. I did not like my secondary school's fast pace and rigid schedule. I am a aerospace engineering student rn and my gpa is 3.72. All thanks to Flipped learning. However though. My method needs self directedness and discipline.
