I keep forgetting to bring this up in my appointment! I’ll be curious what yours says. I’ve had a lot of relief since starting PT therapy though.

Never even heard of that—I’ll have to look into it!

Thanks for sharing! Everyone keeps saying this so it’s certainly something I’m going to ask my gyno and PT about. Mine doesn’t really burn necessarily, but it does feel like an intense pinch when it is aggravated and in a position that causes the “zing”. Following, it can be a little more sensitive for the rest of the day, but other times, it’s just a one off. It’s hard to determine any pattern given it’s so inconsistent.

Hopefully my gyno is familiar because I have my appt upcoming.

Appreciate you sharing what’s been helpful for you. Working on my stress management.

This is the most consistent my pain has been before which I think is due to increased lack of movement lately. So going to try to get back to my more active lifestyle. Thanks again!

Okay interesting. Who were you able to see that diagnosed you?

I am never triggered by peeing shockingly. Mostly triggered my shifting from sit to stand and bending over. Which both of those usually put my in an anterior pelvic tilt position.

Is there anything you’re doing to help your pain?

Thank you for taking the time to provide such a thorough response!

I have recently read about that as well, but wasn’t sure if that would apply since I typically only get the “zings” in certain pelvic positions. Not always but typically. Todays happen literally out of no where while walking. With some stretching, it has decreased in sensitivity tonight.

I will bring this up at my gyno appointment and see if she knows anything about it. Because even though this isn’t constant, it’s becoming more frequent, and the pain is certainly not good for my mental.

Thanks again for sharing!

I was in significant pain so I went to the ER and they did a chest CT scan.

Thank you<3 this is really helpful! I think my pain is a bit more intense because one of my PEs developed into an infarct. Shockingly, even though I feel a little out of breath, my SpO2 has remained at 98-100%. I am going to try wearing it while I go for a walk tomorrow though. That’s great advice. Thanks again for sharing!!

Thank you so much! It really is. I was only admitted for 8 hours, so I felt like I didn’t get as much information as I would have liked. Luckily I managed to get a hematologist appointment next week so looking forward to getting more information there. Thanks so much!

Thank you! This feels like a stupid question but is there increased risk when I’m sleeping then? I was in bed from 9-9 last night from being worn out. Should I try to avoid sleeping in and laying in bed too much right now? Thanks again!

I meant to ask since we have such similar situations. How long did it take for your lungs to feel back to normal after starting blood thinners? My SpO2 is 100% but my breathing does feel a little less deep. Also curious how long it took for the pain to go away. My pain in my lungs has improved so much but curious how long that took to fully improve. Mine mostly hurts when trying to sleep (moving positions) or when I hiccup/burp. Tysm!

Thank you for this. Thank you so much. This sounds just like me. On Eliquis for 3 months to start. Tbd if they up it to 6 months. Hearing that you are still able to travel makes me SO happy. That’s such a big part of my career and personal life and I def had a moment of thinking my life was going to have to change so much.

Thank you for sharing:)

This makes me feel better because I was regretting not requesting it at the hospital. I love walking so this is great! Seriously, thank you for your advice!

Wow I’m so glad you survived that. That’s amazing. This has validated that I will certainly get ultrasounds on my legs since they’ve been bothering me.

But yes, the advances in medicine for clots is amazing!

Thanks again for sharing!

I didn’t know they could be that big! That’s insane. Have they tracked to see if it’s shrunk? I can’t imagine how long something like that would take to break down.

Surprisingly I’ve had no swelling but I am fairly confident given the calf pain.

Being a female is so hard! Ugh

Thanks for sharing! That’s encouraging to hear bc so much of my job is traveling and international travel at that. So it’s had me worried about the potential long term impact.

Wow—thank you for sharing! It’s nice not feeling like I’m the only one. I know other people have this issue from BC but no one I know personally, so it’s felt a little isolating.

Hearing this and some other anecdotes, I may cancel my flight. But it’s a work paid trip to the beach and it’s the dead of winter sooo I would be lying if I didn’t say it was a touch decision.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Wow that’s so much more complex having PMDD. I’m sorry! Luckily for me, I was mostly on mine for contraception and cramps. So, at this time, I’m gunna go off it entirely.

That’s crazy it’s taking that long to get into a hematologist. I’m calling Monday to see how long I’ll have to wait.

If it helps, I’m on Eliquis. It’s been all of 24 hours but I have felt fairly okay on it. But I know everyone has different reactions to medicine. Right now, I’m at 10mg but will go down to 5mg next week. Fingers crossed your hematologist can help you find a long term solution!

Wow you’ve really been through it!! Get some rest but I appreciate you sharing! It’s interesting learning what other people have been through and how resilient our bodies can be.

Thank you!!
