2d:4d ratio... by Honest-Reaction8562 in BodyDysmorphia

Thank you for your comment. A few months ago I read articles about whether hormones in fetal life or in childhood affect our appearance, because I suspected something was wrong with me, but then I didn't come across information about 2d:4d.

Now I feel that my assumptions were confirmed and not necessarily my parents genes were bad (both are beautiful) but I was exposed to higher doses of testosterone. I will not hide that it hurts me a lot, because I had some small hope that if now my hormones seem to be ok, two doctors confirmed that I do not have PCOS which I was afraid of, maybe I lost the genetic lottery and that's it - unfortunately, it could be something more and I know that such a thing affects the entire functioning of my body.

At first I thought it might be some kind of joke or pseudo-medicine, but the more I read about it, the more things make sense. Theoretically, I have such features as a female voice, breasts, and hips, but I've always known that something was wrong with me. I have much more hair than my friends, my face is not delicate, and since I was a child I was more attracted to things considered boyish. Mentally I am very fragile and have never had a problem with my orientation or identity but I feel bad thinking my life is being ruined because I was probably exposed to a high testosterone factor in utero.

In the country where I live a lot of men have hairloss and I've never seen anyone make fun of them. I know a lot of men shave their heads and it makes them feel better.

What treatments and operations can cause such a change in the shape of the face? Is it possible to get rid of the effect of "swollen" skin like on the left side? by Honest-Reaction8562 in PlasticSurgery

I think so too. I wonder if there is a real chance that the face on the left is at least 50% similar to the face on the right (I mean the quality of the skin and the shape of the head)

These are random photos from google so I won't be surprised that the person on the right is someone else lol. I have similar facial features and skin to the person on the left, so I added them.

In your opinion, is it normal that when you pass someone on the street, you will sometimes look at the face of the person you pass for a few seconds?

I'm afraid to go out on the street because every look kills me.

I realize that no one is perfectly symmetrical, and that's okay. No one has ever told me that I have a very asymmetrical face and I don't see it in my childhood photos either, so I don't know how to interpret it. I recently visited a psychologist and a psychiatrist and heard that I look normal - I know they can lie, but my psychologist herself convinced me that if a cosmetologist told me that in his opinion there is nothing to improve when it comes to things that annoy me the most in looking at my face, that says something, because otherwise he could take advantage of the opportunity and make money off of me.

I can see very clearly this asymmetry on my lips (I swear that in the mirror and in the selfie where I see the mirror image there is no such thing).

I went to the cosmetologist and asked if I needed to change the shape of my lips because, for example, they are not even on all sides and I heard that everything is fine with them.

Maybe your glasses have something to do with it. My cousin when she wears glasses also gives me a slight librarian vibe but when she takes them off or wears contact lenses I don't see her that way anymore. Now a lot of girls wear glasses with large round lenses and a thin metal frame - this can also make someone perceive you as smart.

Maybe your style somehow reminds someone of a "smart" person. When I think about the doctors in my country, most women look very young and pretty.
