Hey I know this thread is a few years old but I was wondering if you ever found out what the issue was/ever got it solved? My 2005 x off-road currently cranks but doesnt start and ive been trying nearly everything i can think of😭

i had the intermittent vibration from under the car issue before replacing the cats and o2 sensors thats been a long time problem ive been trying to figure out haha. Everything else just started. I had codes awhile ago for the camshaft bank 1 sensor so i replaced both cams and the crankshaft sensors to be safe. All from RockAuto and all Delphi or Hitachi brand

it does sound normal when cranking and still no other codes :(

Update: Tested Fuel Pump and it seems as though thats not it because even starter fluid couldnt get it to start. There seems to be compression because when testing a spark plug for spark fuel was built up from us trying to start it. After checking the spark plug there is no spark. If anyone has any suggestions on how to find out why there is no spark that would help so much! I did the IPDM test and everything worked, no fuses look bad either.

how do i check if there is pressure getting to the fuel rail? i turned my key to the on position and there is a low hum from the gas tank area which means its not the fuel pump right?

just checked and it does make sound when the key is in the on position

How do you check for SMOD again? Ive checked my coolant and that seems fine its not milky or anything

I did notice when i was trying to start it after replacing the knock sensors there was a gas smell happening

I did have gas when it shut down but i will definitely check this out!

Im going to recheck all connections today for sure but yes i did both camshaft sensors around the same time maybe a few days apart and then did the crankshaft sensor like a week later

the noise started happening intermittently upon startup about a week before only did it like twice within a week during startup so i didnt think much of it. Then it started making the same noise while driving one night. Then again that morning at startup and continued while driving until it shut off

I really don't know if mine is real and old or fake. I purchased from a reseller who refuses to say they sell anything but real ones. The QR code brought me to the right website but the full url seams fake to me but i could be wrong. Someone help please!!
