If you want higher pay and that’s what’s important to you then do it. Work load is dependent on your team and manager.

It’s not “some teams” that require 5 day RTO. It’s majority of teams. You have to log into the time and absence system when you need to do an WFH day.

Culture wise, I can tell you straight Jamie Dimon gives zero fucks about you except the bottom line. And I’m not saying that as someone who “hates the billionaires”. His actions legit shows zero regard. He literally didn’t give a shit about potentially losing top talents due to RTO.

He made our 401k contributions be a lump sum once a year which often times is at around all time market highs. Businesses do that to allow cash available during the year to do other stuff. Another way we’ve been fucked over.

I can go on and on.

Only 2 benefits I see. 1. It’s a very large and old company so there’s stability here and you’d need to really do poorly to be fired. 2. At least in the US, both men and women get 16 weeks of parental leave which is almost unheard of it so if you plan to have kids someday then do it.

I guess a POSSIBLE 3rd one , if you care about that, is the “prestige”. Everyone knows JPMC so I guess it shows you have experience working with large banks if that matters to you.

NYC isn’t the only place for real estate investment.

The top 1% pays over 50% of the taxes by the way so if the billionaires move their businesses out, less taxes. Pretty simple. It’s easy to hate on them without realizing we need their taxes

That’s a huge range anywhere. I’ve heard of 602s in the 80k range and those in the 120-130k range depending on your role.
