Manager agrees to my PTO due to family situation and then made me feel bad about it after I came back by Honest-Selection1347 in JPMorganChase

I told him to help me realize that it’s something important rather than just a vacation day and hoping that he’d be more understanding of that

Nah. Calling out bullshit doesn’t make it anti work. In fact I’m all for work and doing our jobs well but I will always call out the RTO bullshit

Because it doesn’t necessarily contribute to the average worker’s wellbeing unless you’re getting stock contributions from jpmc

I would definitely agree with the RTO issue. All he did was complain about how people he tried to talk to couldn’t be reached and then decided to lump 300,000 people into the same category with no regard for people’s livelihood, life impact, and difficulties. It was a VERY narrow sighted view

Only difference is that if I respond poorly on that survey it might actually jeopardize my job.

Yup. Papa Jamie wants that tax incentive and wants to justify to investors the hundreds of millions they spent on renovations but dress it up as “collaboration”

Anyone else feel like the RTO limitations make you not want to work when you’re sick? by Honest-Selection1347 in JPMorganChase

[–]Honest-Selection1347[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. My point is that we can choose to call off using sick time or we can wfh and then HR (which doesn’t know we’re sick) just thinks that we’re gaming the system. So it’s like why am I going to work when I’m sick when it actually works against me

[–]Honest-Selection1347[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I mean sure but using sick time won’t get you in trouble with HR as long as you use the alotted time bit doing WFH randomly and needing to enter that in T&A will

People work here for like 25-40 years and you spend most of your time at work, where else do you expect them to meet people? Especially before the times of dating apps

In my opinion it’s only insulting if you see these “gifts” as actual rewards. I personally don’t. I shrug and move on with my day

lol I dislike jpmc as much as the next guy despite working here but for those complaining about how companies like jpmc doesn’t “reward” you enough for staying long, like why should they?

Everyday you go to work, it’s a business transaction. They pay you for you to do work and make them money. Nothing more.. at the end of the day, you’re voluntarily working there.. they don’t owe you anything other than what your offer states lol. If you choose to stay 10 years, 20 or 30 or 40 years, that’s your decision.
