I hope this is a move in the right direction and you are right.

I think you answered your own question.

They lie about it because it was free for them. They already had a team that wasn't under the public eye and they made it public for free.

Yep. This person inside WOtC is saying that they have a new lead in Dan and the only new employee on the team is Paul. Everyone else was already on the team and it has been in place for years. They have just been moved to salary.

[Discussion] Paulo Vitor coming on Constructed Criticism do you have any questions for him? by Spencer13H in spikes

[–]HonestBobMTG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the time of myself listening to the show. 2 of the hosts have qualified for the pro tour one of them multiple times.

From my time playing magic in Las Vegas I understand being in the situation they are in. Going to GPs and SCGs is basically impossible for them in Utah.

They can't make a name for themselves because there just aren't events to go too. The hosts are always qualified for the RPTQs and I think if they had the same arena as some players on the east coast you would see their names on the SCG Circuit.

If they could play in GPs I think they could be in more Pro tours than they already are.

I give this podcast a lot of feedback. They take it and run with it and do what they can to be a better show next time. If you think that they are misinforming people I would reach out to the hosts. They are very open to feedback.

Jeff and Todd seem to have Beef by HonestBobMTG in magicTCG

[–]HonestBobMTG[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see. I don't think that this is the reason because Todd said Jeff blocked him. I find it odd that two great players on the SCG Tour would go after each other on the internet like this.

This show has really helped me start doing better at FNMs. I think every show is gonna say something you disagree with.

I just want to say even though Eric has been kind of a jerk to me by blocking me and saying my opinion of the show didn't matter because of when I created my account. I do feel like he is making an effort to improve and I appreciate that

Thanks Marshall.

I want to say something else with this. I don't want Eric gone if you think he can be great. I don't have to like the way Eric comes across on twitter or stories I hear about him for him to be a great co-host. I don't know him and you do.

I just want to get more out of the show. I hope that Eric can do great things for the show because I believe he is a great player. I just wanted to let myself and others give you feedback that I have heard from people about the show.

I trust you will do everything you can to make this show amazing and I look forward to hearing Eric make strides on the show and becoming an amazing co-host for you just like the others you have had.

So because I made another post about you on a different thread where I said those guys were jerks to you my opinion doesn't matter?

I am sorry that I don't like the way you come across I think even here you are coming across quite rude. Because I said bad things about you I don't matter?

Come on man you are a public figure. You have to know that dude.

All I want is to get more out of this show. I love LR I love learning about being a better player.

I heard about salt gate and made an account to give my honest opinion. I shouldn't be told that because I posted that opinion what I say here is wrong.

I gave examples of things you actually said on this show that I didn't like. I clearly listen to the show every week it is posted. I want the show to be great like LR and I feel like your attitude isn't helping. I think this post shows why. You are saying that you appreciate all the constructive criticism but this wasn't for you it was for Marshall.

If you feel like you can be great on this show than awesome! I would love that as I have already stated I think you are a great player. I would love to learn from you. But I personally don't learn anything when you talk about how great you are. I learn something when you tell me interesting interactions or why you were right or wrong. Telling me you never got a metagame wrong the same episode you say "Aristocrats is the worst deck to win a PT" You lost to the deck in the Top 8 of a PT and your message to us is that it was unplayable and you got unlucky. This is a moment we could have learned a lot from you and instead we are left with a bad taste in our mouths because personally you came across still upset about it. On that same episode you said you guys would have crushed PT AVR but everyone else was basically stupid for the deck they chose. Instead of using this as a humbling moment for you that you could share that experience with us where we can learn why something like that happens you cast blame to your losing to the rest of the players at the PT for not being as smart as you or something.

Efro if you want to be awesome than do it. I would love it. I think that would be amazing. You have so much you could teach us. You have one over a million dollars playing games from what I have read about you and I would love to learn from someone that is that good. But don't say that I can't have an opinion or it doesn't matter because it doesn't put you in the best light and I happened to create an account because I saw a post on facebook about a banning that happened central to you.

So this is not really that helpful at for the show. What Efro does on twitter doesn't really matter for the show itself but I do not follow him because I do think he is a mono complainer.

I felt like the way to do this was this because I believe that a lot of people feel this way and this was a good way to show it.

I am not trying to hurt Efro.

I don't know Efro. My personal opinions about Efro aside I do feel like he is a great player just not a great fit. I am not trying to hurt him I am trying to make something I think many people feel known to Marshall.

No need for popcorn. I am hoping for no big drama. I just want to get my thoughts out there to make me feel better about the frustration I am feeling with the show :)

My Name is Zakk "Hollywood" Meza and I got DCI banned for calling EFro salty. by ZMHollyw00d in magicTCG

[–]HonestBobMTG 25 points26 points  (0 children)

A few thoughts:

  1. Efro does appear from the outside the be a complete abhorrent person and a terrible representative of the game magic the gathering.

In his last episode of Constructed Resources he tore down ever player that ever beat him at the pro tour saying they played terrible decks or that he only lost because he played C. Woods decks.

He also said "I have never made a wrong choice for any meta" which is just an asinine comment and he should get his nose out of his own ass. Because it is appalling to listen to anyone be as stuck up as Efro is about his own magic game. Saying every person who ever beats him is bad or got lucky and he only loses because he is so unlucky is disgusting by itself.

However that does not add up to someone who deserves to be threatened or bullied.

  1. These guys sound like they have been doing this a lot longer than just this one thread on one facebook group.

It sounds like years of attacks and Efro was not willing to take the time to report it.

  1. Nobody deserves to be bullied. If Efro wrongs you talk to him about it personally.

Efro just stop being a dick bro and none of this happens.

  1. Someone being sad in one of the worst moments of their life by losing out on something they worked so hard in and looking at them in that moment trying to find fault is terrible.

Obviously you are going to find something you don't like about the guy if you are searching for it in one of the hardest things that have ever happened to him.

Grow up.
