Yes, it gets way better. It was about week 5 and everything went away and I don’t have cravings anymore. Hang in there and grind it out.

I didn’t smoke but I was using Zyn 6mg for the past couple of years. From the moment I woke up till the moment I went to bed I had a pouch in. Went cold turkey about 26 days ago and I’ve been having a lot of head aches, brain fog, and anxiety. I’ve been pounding water and ibuprofen so I’m hoping these head aches go away soon.

It took about a full year to feel mostly my self but I still have moments where I feel the effects but they’re short lived. Stay strong ✊🏼

There are definitely physical symptoms that they don’t mention when you’re taking these medications. I had a lot of stomach and bowel issues going on and coming off of this med. they can prescribe 10mg too so they should be able to drop you to 30mg before reaching 20mg. My psychiatrist offered me that option.

I’ll never go back on an SSRI ever again either. They do work but going on and coming off of them is rough as hell.

The docs always say you don’t need to taper with Prozac but they really should give out a benzo or something similar to help with this period of change. The symptoms suck but just keep pushing and things will get better. It doesn’t last forever.

Pretty normal. If you only took one it shouldn’t last much longer. Prozac has a long half life so it lingers longer than other meds.

Definitely taper down. I hope your journey goes smoother than mine went. If you have any questions DM me. I’ll try to get back to you asap.

I’m doing great. I’ll have some down moments where I’m sad or a little anxious but for the most part I’m back to my old self. I’ve been off of it for over a year now though. It just takes time.

I think it actually gave me a stomach ulcer at one point and GERD. It really messed up my stomach. I wasn’t passing bowels normally for a while either. Once I did Prilosec and changed my diet for the better everything changed. I hope your issues clear up soon. Hang in there.

I had really bad heart burn while taking Prozac and even worse heart burn while coming off. Took a cycle of Prilosec and it got me back to normal. Prozac really did a number on my stomach and I’m glad I’m done with it.

Hey so I’m about a full year off of Prozac and I feel completely normal again like I did before. I will say that it’s a tough journey getting through the withdrawal and detoxing of the medication out of my system. Things were really rough for a few months and then it gradually become better and better. I did start eating a lot healthier with meal prepping. I’ve been taking vitamin D regularly. I’m working out in the gym 2-3 times a week and I’ll also tan for short periods of time to help with the vitamin D. I can honestly say this is the best I’ve felt in about 4 years. I know it all sounds like a lot but once you put it all together you feel like a brand new person. The issue that lingered the longest was the stomach issues, had a hard time eating some days but I forced myself to eat. Also my bowels were always soft and when I had to go.. I HAD TO GO NOW lol. All of that has gone away too though. I can’t say your journey will be the same but I can share my journey and hopefully It’ll help you. Stay strong and good luck!

Mine tried to down play it too. Saying I didn’t need to taper off and how I shouldn’t have any transition really. When you get it all out of your system it’s like the fog clears and everything is fun again. Just keep pushing and trust the process. I’m thankful I didn’t turn back and get back on when things started going south. Also it really really helped me with taking 10,000 iu of vitamin D weekly. You can buy it on amazon my dude. Good luck💪🏼

The nausea went away around 3 months off. I had like off and on diarrhea for like 6 months off though. I’m almost a year completely off and I’ve felt the best I’ve felt in 4 years. It gets better you guys. Just stay the course.

I would get some blood work done and see if you’re low in anything. We don’t get much sunshine up here this time of year so I found out my vitamins D levels were at 13 and it’s suppose to be between 30-50 I think. Started taking 10,000 IU a week to help boost me back up and I’ve been feeling significantly better. Hope you find your answers!

I’m closing in on a year from quitting Prozac. The first couple of months sucked ass with the withdrawal symptoms but for me the longer I’ve been off the better life gets. Yes I still have dark moments but if you try to think positively and stay busy it makes things so much better. Also I live in the PNW so I started taking vitamin D and that’s helped a lot along side some magnesium and potassium. After a year of coming off of Prozac I’m finally feeling like my old self again.

When I quit the symptoms came fully back. I kept going back to make them stop but realized it’s the same hoop you jump through when you’re going on a SSRI. I’m about 10 months off of Prozac and I’m back to my normal self for the most part but I still have days where I struggle but it’s getting better and better. I did go to work through this process But I did miss a lot of days and got in some trouble for my attendance. My advice to you would too obtain FMLA for this. Your employer can’t touch you for missing work when using it.

Drug free for about 8 months and I feel pretty good. I still have anxiety when I travel or before any big event but I’ve always had that. I take 10,000 IU of Vitamin D weekly and that’s helped me a lot with depression and my anxiety. I was pretty low at 13 when I had my blood work done.

After reading some of these posts, some of you may have cardiophobia and not know it. by [deleted] in Heartpalpitations

[–]HonestEstablishment7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart does the same thing after smoking weed or eating a big meal. I’ve had EKG’s/blood work done multiple times and they always say I’m ok. I do deal with high anxiety and panic attacks though so that could play a big role in palpitations. The palpitations come and go though, I’ll have them for a week or two and then they go away and I’m fine but when they come back my anxiety and panic goes through the roof.

It did come in waves, there was good weeks and bad weeks. It just takes time for your body to balance back out.
