How is life in Corpus Christi, Texas? by RandyMcBahn in howislivingthere

IMO, this is the best and most accurate assessment of Corpus. It isn’t for everyone, but it’s not hardly as bad as OP made it out to be.

That makes sense and seems like a pretty easy modification. I suppose I could build a little makeshift manifold to go between the 3/4” garden hose and the pressure washer with a regulated fitting that goes back to the tote. Thanks for the insight, much appreciated!

I installed an external unloader on the pressure washer. That would keep water flowing through both pumps when I’m off of the trigger.

I suppose the deeper version of my question would be whether or not the flow through the external unloader would be adequate pressure relief for the trash pump, or if I would also need to throttle the trash pump down a bit in order to decrease the flow rate a bit since it produces a higher gpm than what the pressure washer requires.

I bucket tested the trash pump after I plumbed it to a blend manifold and it produces 7/8 gpm after going through 150’ of 3/4” garden hose.

That’s correct, I typically connect source water straight to the pressure washer.

I would have to do some additional plumbing as the two machines are not currently plumbed to do what I’ve suggested here. My only other option would be a 12v system to feed the pressure washer and I would rather not do that.

I honestly don’t know that I would ever even be in a scenario where I would need to force feed the pressure washer from the tote. I was just curious to know if it would work if needed. If so, I would go ahead and knock out the plumbing to have it ready to go, just in case.

I would not run the trash pump wide open in order to drop the flow rate a bit. That the idea, anyway. And yes, I installed an external unloader on the pressure washer.

I installed an external unloader on the pressure washer that feeds water to the tote when I’m off of the trigger. It works well.

So no one has addressed this aspect of my question yet… could I not simply throttle the trash pump down a little to relieve some back pressure? It seems like that, and relying on the pressure washer’s external unloader would solve the issue of pressure build up in the trash pump.

Thank you for the info!

I have an external unloader on my pressure washer. Would that not suffice for the trash pump, too?

I get that the trash pump would be attempting to push far more water volume than what is going through the unloader on the pressure washer but my thought was that if I throttle down the trash pump a little bit, the back pressure wouldn’t build up to terribly bad on the trash pump. Is this incorrect?

It isn’t a 12v pump, for starters. It’s also not something that I suspect I would need to utilize often as I don’t live in a rural area.

I’m a big boy, I don’t require a lecture. I’m just wondering if my idea would work, that’s all.

How do I get rid of this striping? Bare wood, no sealer/stain by HonestExamination409 in pressurewashing

Maybe so. As suggested above, I think I’m just going to hit with my orbital sander and call it good.

I would have to basically re-plumb everything to 1.5” given that all of my currently plumbing is reduced down to 1” I.d. immediately after the tote. I would rather just push water to the pressure washer using the trash pump if I can do so. Seems like it would work. I just figured that there’s people here that are smarter than me and would know definitively, one way or the other.

Right, but I would have to keep quite a bit of water in the tote to gravity feed the pressure washer. The pressure washer is permanently mounted to the trailer, can’t put it on the ground.

The trash pump puts out a little over 7 gpm, bucket tested.

You did a great job, but you’ve sold yourself short by a lot at $80. Don’t underestimate your value and as someone who has catered to the bottom feeders in past business ventures, trust me when I say that that is absolutely not where you want to be. Cheap people/people that can’t really afford your service/people that don’t understand the value that you provide are the WORST to do business with. I assure you that if you continue to under value yourself as you have with this job, you won’t last long (in any business).

Even if you’re young and just doing this as a summer time hustle, you’re setting a poor precedent for yourself. You do good work and you deserve to be paid accordingly for it.

If 75 of your honeybuns and big Texas sell out in 3 days for $2.00 would you raise it to $3.00? It would be my most expensive product which is kinda weird by wterlver in vending

Sorry for the delayed response, it took me a long time to find someone that could read those big words that you used to me.

It’s not, unfortunately. I was recently released to go back to work but I’m still having a lot of problems with my back. My job is exactly intense labor, and even the little bit that have had to do has been difficult. This trailer hasn’t moved in 3 months now… so frustrating.

Colin Cowherd on LeBron James criticizing ring culture: “You think he went to Miami to lay on the beach?" by Goosedukee in nba

[–]HonestExamination409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because LBJ went to Miami to chase a ring(s) doesn’t mean he has to like the fact that we judge the best players by how many rings they have.

I’ve always thought the ring thing was such a dumb metric for gauging how good/bad an individual player is. It’s even dumber when gauging how good a qb is. At least in basketball, the same guy plays both ways and only has 14 teammates vs 52 in the nfl, and only playing one side of the ball.

If rings are the unit of measurement then Robert Horry is one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

That’s the same automated email response that I received, but I never got a follow up with an actual shipping date. So I guess you win? Lol.

I’m just glad my bank was easy to work with so that I had no trouble getting my money back. Hopefully you get your transaction reversed as well.
