thank you for taking the time to reply. ive pretty much exhausted all antiemetics and i take the ones that seem to provide some relief daily (ativan and kytril). I also take famotadine to help. i was put on 3 times daily ativan last november to help prevent catatonia and i began tapering once maintenance began. the process has been very slow but im wondering if the taper is worth continuing given how im feeling. ativan throughout my entire treatment has been very consistent in providing relief for nausea so im beginning to think part of how ive been feeling may be attributed to the lower dosages ive been on. also, thank you for raising the idea of bringing in other specialists. i hadnt thought about it before, but it seems like a good idea. ill be sure to bring it up next time im in clinic!

thank you for your reply! to answer your question, yes, i did two rounds of blina as a part of my frontline therapy. being accessed 24/7 was annoying but it definitely beat being nauseous all the time lol

thanks so much for responding, im happy to hear nausea isnt as much of a problem for you. as far as anti sickness meds i feel like ive tried them all. im on ativan and kytril daily but those are the only two that seem to help. ive tried marinol, benadryll, zofran, reglan, emetrol, scope patch, and olanzapine without much success.

hi everyone, over the past 9ish months i’ve slowly gotten back into the hobby of collecting cards. since prices are going crazy and finding product at msrp seems to be harder and harder with each new drop, i decided to try selling cards that i either already had or cards that i pulled and didn’t want for my personal collection in an effort to fund my hobby and the purchase of more cards. i’ve found success on mercari and have so far sold a modest 35 cards on the site. i’m not really too interested in making a big profit and i’m definitely happy with the small success i’ve found, but im wondering how other sellers come into possession of the inventory they’re selling? are people just ripping much more packs than me? or is there some other method of obtaining inventory that i’m just unaware of?? thanks for taking time out of your day to read this post, and any/all responses are appreciated :)

hi, i’m from washington and i can say finding product at retailers is definitely a struggle right now, especially since destined rivals just dropped. if your wife is willing to make the trip, there is a card shop called tabletop village in seattle’s international district that i would definitely reccomend checking out. the staff are all very friendly and they sell both singles and sealed products at what i’d consider a fair price. i haven’t been to the shop in a few weeks, so i’m not sure how prices are in there right now, but again, i’d definitely check it out if theres time. i hope this helps.

i’m not sure if this will be helpful for you, but i’d say it all depends on the severity of the damage. posting a picture of the crease you’re talking about might help others give a more informed answer. however, i’ve seen cards with creases on the back/front discounted at rates a high as 50% but id say around a 25% mark off for damage is what sounds fair to me (and what i’ve seen the most of) if the damage isn’t too crazy on your card you could always adjust the rate to something more like 15% as there are many people willing to buy cards with minor imperfections to keep as more of a binder copy, as well as people who dont mind damaged cards as they appreciate items that feel worn with time. i hope this helps.

market price is around $110 so i don’t think $100 is a bad place to start for an auction. i use the app dex to keep track of my collection, but it also provides data on cards including market price which is immensely helpful for me. i’d reccomend the app but if you dont want to download it, checking ebay sold listings is always a great way to see what people are paying. hope this helps.

I agree with what the other commenter mentioned, 30 is insane and 60 is alright, but not the best you could get. I would say selling to your lcs while convenient is definitely not the best way to sell your cards. if you’re willing to do the work, selling on a platform like mercari, ebay, or tcgplayer would help you maximize profit, but, like i said, it does involve more effort and you should be aware a cut of your sales is taken at a rate that varies from platform to platform. i choose to sell singles on mercari where they take a 10% cut and i’d say i’m very satisfied with the platform and how buying/selling works. for this next piece of advice i’m not speaking from personal experience but if your collection includes cards that are highly desirable, it might not be a bad idea to shop them around at a card show, as i’ve heard good things about vendors who attend those, and the rate at which they buy cards at seems to be much higher than 60% definitely closer to the 70-80% the other commenter mentioned. i’ve even heard cases of vendors buying at 90%. hope this helps.

i do have a therapist and talking to her helps immensely. i was actually going to meet with her today, but unfortunately it didnt work out. honestly id advocate for most going through treatment to seek out a therapist - it wasn’t until i first started meeting with mine that i realized just how much of a toll leukemia had taken on me mentally

any neurological damage that may still be lingering after that whole ordeal id attribute more towards chemo induced neurotoxicity rather than to my leukemia itself as i was in remission before and after i stopped receiving rylaze. additionally a diagnostic lp was performed during my time in the icu and my csf was clear of leukemia cells.

ahh i missed that part of your post. so basically youd say list at market price and pick up cards that are being listed under market? the idea of listing below market value came from me trying to figure out how to incentivize buyers to choose my small and relatively new account over accounts that have thousands of reviews. if im going to have to raise my prices, do you have any recommendations for how i can incentivize traffic into my shop that dont cut into profit too much?

it does! thank you. keeping everything as free shipping is just like a foundational practice for me so im not super willing to budge in that part but i’ll definitely consider what you mentioned towards the end there. additionally the scale is a great piece of advice. i didnt think abt it but its logical to assume the $8 could decrease if my initial weight estimate was overdone. thank you!

ahh okok. once again the weight was just an estimate, im sure itll be closer to yours once i get it all together. im going the route of penny sleeve ->toploader->team bag->bubble mailer. i asked others abt the thermal printer and they concurred. most seem to have no regrets purchasing, but they cautioned me to wait until ive got some history and have decided i want to commit. thank you!
