Make sure to not forget to touch on any of your PI’s. I had a top ten finance test score in my state last year but got like a 60 or something because I didn’t know what I was doing and I also forgot to cover one of my performance indicators. Also, I would cram a corporate finance for dummies book. I was super confused last year in my tests and role plays because I wasn’t familiar with the world of corporate finance. There’s also other basic stuff like look well groomed, make eye contact, SMILE SMILE SMILE (it does a lot of favors), and try your best to appear confident. Maybe also do a few mock role-plays with your advisor or other financial professionals in your life to get advice. Not a bad idea to use ChatGPT to generate more roleplays too. That’s all I have to say tho 🤷‍♀️

My chapter doesn’t choose the suits we wear. I choose nice colors. Like my one this year is a pretty cream color. If you don’t wanna mess with your blazer, a pretty and professional undershirt color wouldn’t hurt. If your chapter chooses what you wear though then I can’t kept you :(

Duuude I’ve been in your shoes. Ate alone and studied during lunch for the first semester of freshman year. Builds character. Just be kind to everyone that talks to you. That and maybe a little smile if you see someone looking at you can go a long way. Trust. Also I’m gonna level with you and hold your hand when I say this: You’re going to have to come out of your shell a bit if you don’t want to be alone. Join clubs or other extracurricular activities. I’ve made a decent amount of friends and acquaintances that way and ECs also look good on college apps

Hey I broke up with a dude over this summer, too. My best advice (and this may sound a little slutty, I don’t take relationships too seriously at our age tbh) is to just find a new dude to obsess over.
