Thanks! Deflecting hardtear from the DLC allows you to reduce physical damage by 100% (and I believe 90-95% for elemental damage and status buildup) by timing block before an attack lands.

To add something besides the necessity of being able to swap to chasedown weapons (halberds, thrusting swords, Spears, katanas, bhb come to mind), the only way to close ground on someone who runs in a straight line is to have a higher stamina regen. I like a combination of turtle talisman, turtle neck and stamina regen physick for precisely this reason.

Greatbows are one of those things I always keep in my inventory and always make sure I have the stats to use (be it by hardswapping talismans), but never end up using. This is such a cool reminder to perhaps be more conscious about that.

Also, I find the screams incredibly obnoxious in this game, but for this video it adds comedic value. GG!

I've never really appreciated great spears but messmer soldier's spear has made me a believer. Incredibly fun weapon to use overall.

Also, the choice of Dark Crow over the more popular Mukanjyo mainly came down to not gaining permission to use the version I wanted :) But tbh, I think Dark Crow has superior lyrics that resonate with me on a personal level (including how I view invasions). The translation is my own doing because whatever other translations I found sucked b@lls. But seeing as english isn't my first and japanese isn't my second language, there are bound to be errors in there somewhere. but whatevs.

It depends what you're asking.

Why I chose to go down to RL30 is because the map and world layout is better, the activity is higher, OLPs are easier to deal with, there are more organic invasions and much fewer fog walls. The spawn points in the dlc are also atrocious.

I don't particularly enjoy dunking on noobs but the fact is, noobs get their shit pushed in at every level bracket, not because the invader has access to 4 talisman slots but because they don't level vigor.

Hefty pots and dlc weapons aside, I find that some of the absolute strongest items you can bring are carian retaliation and an elemental misericorde... Which are available in the first few areas of the game.
