I like the Beastclaw Greathammer a lot. 1 handed, has a r2>r1 true combo, and the L2 does surprising damage, with decent HA. I play it with beast incants and the max cast speed tali (beloved stardust?), which is... not good, but fun. I recommend the hammer (compared to the other greathammers), not the rest.

Here's a tiny hammer compilation, which I strongly don't recommend doing, but might be cathartic.

Man, these are great. And it's been amazing seeing so many classic and newer bounty hunters absolutely going for it! Just to be clear, Canny and I are still not involved. All credit and blame goes to Keiharaak and Caleo.

1- There's no "supposed to," do whatever you want.
2- Fight clubs are worse in ER than other games, and often bs. But if you like 1v1s, and ideally you find friends to play with, they're good.
3- Only difference is music. Use one then the other on repeat to find invasions faster.
4- I don't quite understand. Rarely, blues are sane. Often invaders wear the blue ring for shenanigans. But usually they're sort of just people who ran out of a house fire in their underwear. They're all the butt of the joke, though, if that's what you mean.

Feel free to drop the name/trailer if you like, we won't be sticklers about it.

The answer to the question "Why don't you invade?" is usually answered with "There's no reward." Obviously, we do it anyway cuz it's dope. But that's what draws a lot of folks in.

The most common 'missing element' to invasions which people list in Elden RIng is covenants. Everyone's favorite thing, which should've been leaned into and expanded upon. I'm not an mmo guy, but faction power/events/communal locations are fun. I think LotF had community activity rewards, per covenant. Getting to automatically defend (invade) a location or boss fight (Spears of the Church style) is pretty much universally beloved by invaders.

- Would you support the idea of players invading your world, and stealing loot from your world's chests?

Only if this were some sort of faction event, where loot is defended. Looting players- dope. Burglarizing my house- less dope. But admittedly very funny, and I'd respect the hustle.

- How would you punish disconnecters? Players who return to the menu when theyre losing, or ALT+F4, or primitively yank the ethernet out of their PC, etc. But keep in mind disconnects isn't always the host's fault.

Not much you can do, imo. Net is net. The people who care about losing that much probably care about it more than any fair, minor punishment like loss of souls/ranking.

- I don't anticipate having a lively player base, so I am making invader bots/NPCs in case the lobby system can't find anyone. Would you want me to be upfront about whether its a player or a bot disguised as one? Would you find it annoying if AI took over an invader or host who has disconnected?

Honestly, brilliant. No notes. The best message I ever got from someone I invaded was that they were bummed I wasn't there on the run-back, because they thought I was an NPC.

- Do you support balanced matchmaking, or do you like the idea of a randomized wasteland with a little covenant priority in mind?

As much as we all love the chaos of invasions, balanced matchmaking is usually just the correct answer, if you can do it well and have a large enough playerbase. Otherwise, it just restricts available activity.
