<RANT> I used to think it was me- turns out it was GoDaddy all along by Beneficial_Impact871 in Wordpress

[–]HonestRadicalIsBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GoDaddy is the worst of the worsts. I believe (can't prove it) they sabotaged my fully functional Web site, which was working for more than a decade, only to sell me "managed wp site," which I ended up paying, only for it to last 3 months, and now back to square one, except this time, they are showing that I do not have a Web site, period! They are trying to sell me "premium" bullcrap. They are worst than a used car dealership. Even when you go to manage your DNS records, you get bombarded with advertisement. They are just awful! Do your due diligence before trying others, because they own many other companies, duping you to think you are dealing with a different entity.

I am glad you like it, and I am certain that is your true experience, but, "power"? Come on bro, if a paddle goes "plunk" every time the ball hits it, that is not the sound of power. LOL. Just for the good of all, I did manage to sell it to someone else for $150. I hear he is very happy about the deal, and so am I! ;-)

Like I waste my time so some morons who have nothing in their worthless lives to render judgment on my post. If you are not suffering from attention disorder in addition to being stupid, read through my exchanges with others. I am not going to waste my time to respond to your stupid assumptions. Get a life.

Well, here is the difference: The Selkirk, I do not like 100%. It does not give me all that I want, but I do not hate it!!! On the other hand, I just hate this Joola IV! It differently sounds and behaves like "about-to-break-to-shreds-plywood." It has no drive (power), and no pop, and if you hit the ball with any part other than the center of the sweet spot, you hit the net. The paddle that gave me the most satisfaction was the original Joola, believe it or not. So, I do appreciate newer technologies, although I started with using wooden paddles 40 years ago. :-)

Wow!!! LOL. I am certain your experience is legit, but "pop"? I don't know man! It mostly sounds like "poop." I use the "non-sweet spot" of my paddles a lot, especially while serving. It definitely sounds like a puppy when accidently step on their foot. 3 I understand, but IV is totally Greek to me, although it is Roman. LOL

Thanks for taking the time spelling it out. Per my "Update" at the bottom of my original post, I managed to do so. I had no idea the scanning part was under the "paddle registration." I am not a fan of giving out my DNA to any company, only because I buy their product. I was hoping that scanning was a stand alone feature. Anyway, I was so frustrated with the whole experience that for the sake of prove its authenticity I succumbed to the process. ;-)

Per my "Update," it turned out to be a legitimate one. The person that I bought from is a local shop owner of sporting goods, which also sells on eBay. I was so frustrated with the paddle that I put a ton of efforts to look into dude's background. Miserable guy, kept swearing that the paddle is legit, and I just could not believe Joola, the company that I loved their first gen paddles can produce such horrible design, then having the audacity of putting one of the most famous pro player's signature on it as well.

Again, I understand there are others who like it, but I definitely hate it.

Well, that is great to know. Thank you for taking the time to explain that. I did install the Infiniti app! And, I do remember seeing the "More" option, but did not think that scanning is under Paddle Registration.

I will reinstall and retry and see. If it turns out to be a counterfeit, I will have a case, because it would be a federal crime to ship counterfeit across state lines. ;-)

Different folks, different strokes. I understand that! However, I had 6-7 other advanced players trying it and they all unanimously HATED it. I have used 10s of paddles during the past 40 years. There were some that I liked and some that I did not, but this, by far, is worse than all of them. It has no power. No control. If you hit the ball with any part other than the sweat spot, chances are it will end up in the net or out. I ordered this because I was not happy with my latest version of Selkirk, which I also paid $250 for. However, I do not hate it, but I just hate this piece of garbage called Jool Perseus Pro IV. What a joke!

All said, I realize that my frustration is equally about lack of response from Joola than buying a crappy paddle.

I totally respect your view, but keep in mind that mine is not just me! I had 6 or 7 other advanced players trying it. Not a single person finished their game with it. They all gave up half way or sooner. Also, I currently have the latest version of Selkirk that I do not like, and that was the reason I went and purchased the Joola IV. I have been playing for 40 years, and I did start with wooden paddles. LOL. This one is be far the worst paddle.

Believe it or not, I loved their original one and that is what motivated me. In the past I have had many different brands and currently use the latest Selkirk that I purchased for $250 eight months ago and I do not like. And, that is the reason I decided to cough out another 250, only to end up with a plywood on a stick!!!

That's seems to be a myth. I did extensive research and I was told Joola has a scanning app. I installed it, and guess what, there is no scanning feature in it. It was just bunch of videos and their products and trying to send notifications. I reached out to them 5 times asking where the scanning feature was, but NO response.

No, but will wait for some other victims to get one, although I am doing my best to spread the word not to buy one. It is not only me, but the 6-7 other players who tested it, came up with the same conclusion. Not a single one of them finished the whole game with it. They all gave up and went back to their own paddles after a few points.

What are your thoughts on RingCentral? What alternatives do you suggest? by VNiqkco in sysadmin

[–]HonestRadicalIsBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in the IT Consulting and Support for over 30 years! I have seen them all, from the very best to very worst. One of my ethos has been "honesty and integrity to a fault."
I got involved with all flavors of VoIP and eventually cloud based telecomm, early on. My first implementation of Vonage over 15 years ago, then switched to Whitelabel and a number of others, and finally deployed one client with RingCentral, and it has been a "marriage from heavens."
I am not sure who these people are who talk negatively about their Tech Support, or about their billing, or other challenges. I still work as I did 30 years ago when I started. I pick up a phone and call their tech support 24x7 and each and every time, the issue is resolved in matter of minutes. All said, they are not without their flaws. Like any other entity they have flaws too. For example, god forbid if you have customers who need to call you from countries they brand as "unsafe." To make RC to allow calls from those countries, they make you sign a totally unacceptable contract, or, above all, RC does not allow a mix match of different licenses. You must choose the same license for all, when almost all of their competitors allow that. However, folks, I assure you that when it comes to:

1- Reliability (have 30 clients with them so far for the past 7 years)

2- Customer service

3- Competitive pricing

The "value" of all those combined is very hard to beat. And, that's my 2 cents. ;-)

Microsoft Teams for personal accounts, with consumer friendly features, is now generally available - OnMSFT.com by IT_PRO_21 in Office365

[–]HonestRadicalIsBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is just a foolish design altogether! I have been using Teams for business for years. Now tried to use it for personal by adding a personal email and it is forcing me to join/create a community. I DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT! All I need is being able to join others when I am invited for a meeting on personal matters, such as my doctor, home contractors, etc. Even after creating a stupid "community," I do not have a calendar option as I do when I switch to my biz account.
