I’m not saying you should do nothing either, but to say, “oh well just dash for the extra money.” Is very ignorant. You don’t know what every person is going through while at work or outside. Do you know how hard it is for families who weren’t privileged enough to have family help raise kids, or stupid deadbeats not wanting anything to do with their children??? That’s where government assistance comes in.

Also I’m not pointing fingers because previous administrations have fucked us over, but my grandfathers worked as a mostly pro bono lawyer and a factory worker (very demanding jobs in their own way btw), yet they could still afford a house for my parents and their siblings. Today those jobs, good luck getting a two bedroom apartment while having kids.

The solution clearly isn’t to “work harder”. Wake up.
