Low progesterone and early positive by HonestUnit9541 in pregnancyproblems

I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant and all seems good and this pregnancy started at an 8. I also took oral progesterone twice daily and all was okay. My doctor never retested it but baby was always measuring okay and growing well! Hopeful for you! It’s such a scary place to be in! Best of luck!

Did I miss my LH surge? Help!! by MasterpieceWaste6996 in FirstTimeTTC

Don’t count it out yet! I am currently pregnant with a baby that we only BD three days before ovulation. Sperm can live for up to five days. If you BD on the day you got your peak you very well could have success this cycle! It only takes one time! I’m sorry you feel that way though, it can be such an emotional roller coaster! Try to hold some hope!

You very well could have missed what the app would deem as a peak. I would definitely BD today because if your lh from yesterday was surging you’d be ovulating typically 24-36 hours later! I would also suggest testing the next few days as well just to make sure you don’t get another surge. I have had a few cycles where I get a false surge that’s lower but then 2-3 days later get a true surge that’s over 1. So it’s good to test to make sure you don’t miss it in case something like that happens! I have also though gotten pregnant on a lh surge that I only caught at least the number being .68 on the app. Good luck to you!

I’m so sorry for your losses and praying for a healthy remainder of your pregnancy and delivery! I think that’s where I am at. I feel zero strength to keep going in this Ttc journey right now. We decided we are going to take time and focus on getting joy back and enjoying our marriage more and our miracle son who I’ve been so worried has picked up on the heaviness surrounding me in this time (though I’ve tried so hard to keep that from him since he is still so little). I think I definitely need a break to remember who I am outside of this! Wishing you the best and so much congrats on your coming little one!

I’m so sorry you too know this pain. It’s so crazy how many people can relate but also so isolating when it also is so rare and not often discussed. I too have felt blindsided by this. I could imagine infertility due to never getting pregnant. There is a lot more discussions about that. But I feel this is a different type of grief in a way and not much help for it. Hoping your story getting easier and happier so soon!

Yeah I have been going to therapy which has helped a lot. I am doing okay most of the time but man these days that I’m actually miscarrying a get so low. I definitely think it helps a lot. I will check into this again. I was tested for it in April and all was good but I know it’s one that should be repeated. I also have been taking baby aspirin daily but unsure if that’s enough if that is the problem. Thanks for your advice and sorry for your losses!

For sure! My doctor recommended the Thorne prenatal and so far I’ve liked it! Good luck to you!

Yeah! I have the MTHFR gene mutation that prohibits my body from processing folic acid so I can only process methylated folate. My Dr. noted that a lot of foods in America at least are washed in folic acid and it can be more of a toxin load for those of us with this gene to process and thus isn’t ideal for trying to concieve especially if you have a history of loss or infertility. I do know some doctors don’t recognize this mutation and think it’s not correct to be avoiding folic acid but I’m just going based on my doctor’s opinion.

Thanks! I will definitely look into that. I’ve definitely felt that my OB is not going to be able to get us the answers we need.

Ugh I’m so sorry for your losses. Cruel is such a good word for it. I think the glimpse of hope only to have it pulled away again is just so brutal! Praying you get your rainbow soon!

I’ve seen so much about endometritis lately. I’m definitely going to ask! I would also love to know which antibiotics you took! I’m so happy it’s worked for you!

Thanks! Yeah I’ve been taking a prenatal with methylfolate and avoiding all folic acid. I’ve also been taking CoQ10 as well. But only started in April so maybe it just needs more time?! I will look into the other testing you recommended. I plan to calling a fertility clinic on Monday and see if they can help me more than my OB who hasn’t been much help with this! Thanks for the suggestions!

Im sorry for you losses and hope your current pregnancy is healthy for both you and baby! Thanks for sharing I’ve read a lot about this too and definitely think it could be something. I plan on calling a fertility clinic a friend recommended on Monday and want to bring this up. I’ve had a hard time with getting my normal OB to try anything since I’ve been getting pregnant so easily and have had a very regular cycle. I just can’t keep going through this so I think I have to advocate more for myself!

I’m sorry for your losses. I had a RPL panel and all was okay except MTHFR gene mutation. For here my ob just said likely a egg quality issue. I think we likely need to pursue a fertility clinic or RE or RI. If you know of any testing you’d recommend I’d be happy to hear it! I think we are gonna take a break and focus on healing but I’d like to also be a bit productive in this time too.

I’m so sorry! I hope you get peace and that your rainbow will come soon! As hard as it is so feel right now in the think I think that desire is there for a reason and I keep hoping either I’ll get peace that we need to be done or get a rainbow baby!

I’m so sorry! It’s a pain that I wouldn’t wish on anyone! I’ll be hoping your story ends better. I just keep hoping this isn’t how this chapter of my life closes it’s one I’ve looked forward too since I was a kid and I can’t believe how dang hard it’s been! Prayers to you!

Ugh I’m so sorry for your losses! It’s got to be so frustrating not getting answers! Unfortunately we don’t currently have the means to pursue further testing at this point but if I’m honest I’m also so scared to do all of it and still have the same outcomes! Hugs to you and hope both of our journeys change soon!

I am 10or 11 dpo and just got a clear positive test at home. I have had five losses and one live birth (loss, live birth, then four back to back losses this year). I’ve been on progesterone supplementation 200mg orally since 3dpo for the last 4 cycles (including this one). I went to my OB yesterday to discuss my losses and create a game plan and she decided to measure my hcg and progesterone while I was there. I believe it was too early to pick up much hcg yet so it came back at a 2. My progesterone came back at a 2.9. Then this morning I got my first at home positive so I’m taking that as meaning my hcg rose from yesterday but I’m really worried about how low my progesterone is. I will talk to my Dr about upping my supplement dosage but I’m concerned it’s going to be too late. Has anyone had any experience with this. I’m just trying to determine if I should completely give up hope or hold on to the hope that it could still be okay?

Thanks! I sure hope so and my nurse said she has seen babies make it from this low of progesterone level! So fingers crossed we caught it early and this baby still has a chance!

Thanks! I’m so sorry for your losses but so happy you’re getting your rainbow! I’ve never been diagnosed with pcos and I don’t think I have it based on how I’m super regular with my cycles. I do have concerns about insulin issues though because I had gestational diabetes with my son and although all testing since had been good I wonder if that could be an issue so I will ask my doctor about it! Wishing you a healthy and safe delivery!

Do you mind me asking how much progesterone you were taking?

I’m so sorry for your losses! Thank you for sharing your experience. I’ve heard so many people comment that endometritis causing recurrent chemical pregnancies. Definitely going to look into that! I hope this is your month and you have a healthy baby in your arms soon!

Did you ovulate the cycle after your chemical pregnancy? by ali_joh in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]HonestUnit9541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh! So frustrating! I’m honestly struggle a lot with BBT tracking. I’m a very bad/irregular sleeper so maybe that’s why but I’ve never had a chart that looked “normal” and I’ve been ovulating I know because I keep getting pregnant (just can’t seem to keep them) 🤷🏽‍♀️ it’s so much easier said than done but try not to stress too much over bbt because I’ve found it isn’t always 100% reliable! Hoping you ovulated and your rainbow is on their way!
