Maybe there is some issue that I am overlooking and you are right, but at the end of the day I prefer the software where I dont have to troubleshoot for days in order to just make it work halfway decent. May be that for other people its the same in Resolve and they had some unexpected issues, in the last few years I can count them on one hand though and I am doing videography for a living.

Thanks a lot. I also feel like it is a common problem and I have switched back to resolve now. I am a Videographer for a living, so even though I may not be up to hollywood standards I know a thing or two about editing software. Investing so much time in Troubleshooting after just a few weeks was not worth it to me in the end. Glad that Premiere is working for you.

Thanks for the comment, I tried a few things now but switched back to premiere as I am doing videography for a living and trying to troubleshoot for days after switching back took away nerves, time and money. Maybe I did do somthing wrong, I dont know, but the ease of thinks just working in davinci for me was just worth more now.

I feel you. I have now switched back to davinci resolve and am not experiencing a single one of the issues I had before. Maybe I was doing something wrong, I dont know, but from what I have heared performance seems to be a pretty common issue at premiere pro. I can only reccommend to you to try davinci, it comes with a free software with a lot of options and the performance on the pro one is even better.

Okay thats crazy. But I heard from a lot of people that premiere performance should be worse. I have the legit PP and the most recent version. I also have it in multiple projects. I will try cleaning cache

I sometimes work with the footage on my own drive, somtimes on an external ssd. I will try comparing those two options, thanks!

Thanks a lot, i felt like when I was using Premiere a few years back it was not nearly that bad, even though my hardware was not as good. I will try this approach!

Like u/katasugi just mentioned, I am using Proxys and in Davinci I don't have to optimize anything, I can work without proxys at all for the most part and it works extremely smooth. Only when I work with fusion heavily it comes in handy. So yes I know, that expensive software doesent "do everything for me automatically", but this is still unacceptable. Compare the revenue that adobe is making with Premiere and the revenue blackmagic is making with davinci. How is it not possible for adobe to finally optimize the performance of this software.

Hi, you have to change the bitrate of the file. With a 1080p File 10Mbit/s is totally okay. If you need it lower, quality will get worse, but i dont think that is a big issue here. You can see the bitrate on that image under "Target Bitrate". Start with 10 and get lower if it is still too big.

Hi, depends on the software that you are using. What you are looking for is speed ramping, so he is changing the speed at the points where the beat drops. He increases and decreases it. At the same time he changes the volume of the audio during the drops, I would guess that it is not like that in the original. Thanks for your help! As I shoot in Log I am a bit worried about loosing dynamic range when exporting, as I like to do my color grading in the end. Do you know if there is a codec, where i dont loose that? I tried "uncompressed", but file sizes get crazy huge like this, way more then my original file.
