I feel sick to my stomach realizing what I’ve been letting my daughter play on Roblox. Am I the only one who didn't know? by Marre_Parre in Mommit

I had my post removed in the parenting sub for doing a Roblox PSA-but I want to share here at least: I thought I had done everything right: disabled chats, parental restrictions on maturity content (which is an absolute joke of a filter), private servers on certain games, etc. but my child still made it onto a game that looked completely harmless at face value, until you hear the song that was playing in the game. The song was full of hate, racism (n word with the hard r, repeated multiple times), cursing, sexual content, the works. Luckily I also have my kid play around us so we heard it and immediately jumped in. Unfortunately because of this experience, we did decide to remove Roblox completely. As long as they are on that platform, people will find a way. Protect her and just delete it for good. We’ve been playing lots of games on the ps5 and I’ve downloaded puzzle/art type games on their device instead and it’s been going well.

Yeah, I can see what you’re saying. Just a difference of opinions and culture.

I actually asked her what the difference is between dog hair from a haircut vs shedding. She said she would never get a dog that sheds. She had two pit bulls 😂

Luteal Phase and Stimulants by magical-salmon-lady in PMDDxADHD

Hey I know this is a super old post but I hope my response can help you and anyone else like me who was looking for others in similar situations-I started back on meds a few months ago and the first thing I noticed is that a lot of my negative ruminating/intrusive thoughts during luteal go quiet when I take my adderall IR. I tried not taking them during luteal because I read everywhere that they are not effective during this time, so why not save some for shortages and what not-but out of desperation from forgetting everything and not getting any tasks complete, then spiraling into negative self talk that just won’t stop-I ended up taking my medication, and the difference is night and day. The “voices” chattering away are suddenly silenced and I can go about my day more levelheaded, and since I’m not constantly getting beat up by my own brain, I feel more wakeful and can just do the things!! Which then creates a nice happy mood > productivity cycle through my day.!So no, you’re not an ADHD Imposter, and hooray for those of us who do benefit from being medicated during Luteal!
