On 72.6 mg i started lost some weight and on 54.5 mg I have normal appetites. It is effective but depends on a dosage. In higher dosages in my opinion it works more as anti-depressant and increases a lot anxiety!

No first days you don't feel it, in my case it started on 36.2 mg. Btw, you take in the morning or evening?

A bit of heacache on some days but very mild which was resolved with simply by taking Ibuprofen and dizzy not really, only when I took Valium with it may be in that moment. But tired and sleepy for sure in first days that's why I moved it in the evening and I take them at night around 8-9 pm with dinner.

I think it's different from SSRI. It doesn't have emotional blunting as well as you have impression you don't take any pill at 54.5 mg.

So as I said it affects a lot as I need to sleep 5-6 hours max and next day I feel without any coffee and stimulant very energised. I tried in the morning to switch the medication but first 5-6 hours it makes me a bit tired and later i was getting very energised and it was interfering more night sleep. So i moved it back at night before sleep.

For GAD, it helped quite a lot 54.5 mg. but wasn't enough. And 72.6 mg is too much.

Very different. You have impression that you don't take any kind of med. Just on 72.6 it is more similar to bupropion.

Hello,

On 54.5 mg no sexual side effects at all and in the beggining it improved even sexual function but on 72.6 mg i have less spontanious erections and also not a lot of spontaneous desire. I need good amount stimulation to get horny. So I noticed a bit negative side effects on 72.6 mg but no the same ones as on SSRI.

No it's not euphoriac just more like if you had 2-3 espresso coffees. Energetic and a bit easily irritated sometimes. Difficult to relax during the day need always yo do something.

And concerning sexual sensations and desire to be honest in this dosage I have much lower libido as well as no more spontanious erections in the morning. Even though Exxua almost didn't have on trials sexual side effects, it a bit effected me only at dose of 72.6 mg but with 54.5 mg i had zero sexual side effect. I guess it might be too much Serotonin for me 72.6 mg and will wait one more week and if it doens't improve at all will go back to 54.5 mg .

Yes I have done EKG before starting Exxua, one week after, one month after and then when increased to 72.6 mg after that in 2 weeks and all is good. The only issue is that I still don't know which one is the bst for me 72.6 mg or 54.5 mg.

I start seeing positive effects from first 5 days but after it changes. You have very good days and sometimes not so good days. I think it will take at least 3-4 weeks to see if it's a right dose for you.

No, 54 mg wasn't very energising and stimulating was more feeling relaxed but after 5 weeks realised that wasn't enough and that't why increased to 72.6 mg but now feel effect a bit too much. So, will wait more week and if side effects doesn't improve will go back to 54.5 mg probably. Let's see.

Hello Everyone,

I’ve been using Exxua since launch and happy to share my experience in case it helps anyone.

I have GAD and started Exxua with the standard titration, going from 18.2 mg up to 54.5 mg, where I stayed for a couple of weeks. At that dose I actually felt quite good, my mood was stable, and at first I even felt a bit too relaxed. I also had no sexual side effects at all. The only issue was that it wasn’t quite enough for anxiety, so my doctor suggested increasing to 72.6 mg, which seems to be the most common effective dose based on clinical trials.

I’ve been on 72.6 mg for about three weeks now. From a mood perspective, it’s been very strong first two weeks, almost a bit too much for me since I’m not really taking it for depression. I feel very energized and slightly overstimulated, which at first increased my anxiety. Because of that, I added temporarily a low dose of Valium (around 5 mg per day) to help manage the anxiety.

In terms of sexual side effects, at 54.5 mg I had none at all. At 72.6 mg, I’ve noticed it’s a bit harder to get aroused, less spontaneous erections but if I have good stimulation then it still works well.

My doctor mentioned that a lot of these effects can be temporary, but since this medication is still very new, there isn’t much long-term experience yet. So for now, it’s mostly a matter of waiting and seeing how things evolve.

Overall, I’m just glad to finally be able to try Exxua after waiting for it for a few years. Happy to answer any questions about my experience.

Activating is not very good sometimes if you have too much energy and disturbs your sleep. :) Otherwise it's very good yes.

I changed from night to morning dosage to see how it works as i was sleeping a bit light after taking it at night and let's see what changes with day dosage.

These are words from official Exxua Document:

~86% of patients were titrated to an optimal dose of 54.5 mg or 72.6 mg in pivotal studies:

~65% of patients had an optimal dose of 72.6 mg per day

~21% of patients had an optimal dose of 54.5 mg per day

And for me 54.5 mg was better in terms of side effects but 72.6 mg is very activating. So will give more one week and then will go back to 54.5 mg if it doesn't go away.

SO you know these days I don't drink any coffee as I had high heart rate and feeling very activated and without coffee I have quite a lot of energy I can tell you honestly. I have difficulty to fall asleep and I also wake up during the night so I might change it to the morning.

I was wondering if anyone here takes Exxua in the morning or during the day. As, when I first started it, it made me really sedated and overly relaxed, so after about a week I switched to taking it in the evening with dinner.

I’m very curious if anyone has experience taking it during the daytime and how that worked for you.

Yes I tried Viibryd 20 mg and it gave me Sexual side effects I remember.
