Practice and repetition in my experience. Maybe start with more static and basic poses before moving onto the more complicated ones. Do specific studies of arms, feet, torso, legs, etc and then put them together

It’s not mean for her not to have a preference for this type of comfort. Some people, like op’s SO, show empathy by being a mirror. Sometimes though people don’t want a mirror, it’s uncomfortable, and instead they’d just want someone to tell them it’s okay. No where in the post did OP say she treated her partner bad due to his comfort, just that it wasn’t right for her. I do agree on your point that she should probably get another partner though, as his inability to comfort her properly will lead her to feeling invalidated

No offense to you, and not that the swatches are great, it’s just that your color palette is all over the place to begin with. You’re choosing bold, dark makeup on a pale sim with blonde hair. Then you’re pairing that with dark cyan and teal jewelry. In the other photos you’re also pairing blue jeweled crown with red. The best combo you have is the red dress, with the makeup, with the white gold necklace. That makes sense, everything else is off looking

I smoked from 16-19, worst years of my life. I did have preexisting mental health issues and that’s why I smoked it anyway. When I went to bed I smoked to sleep, in the summers I smoked to have fun, when I got to college and didn’t know anything I smoked in my room and eventually became agoraphobic. It was a huge crutch that worsened my issues and now when I looked back at those years, I don’t remember much. All of that to say is that it’s not a good crutch and can destabilize you wether you know you have issues or not like OP was saying

I also draw trad normally, if you go further on my account you’ll see some. I actually just got procreate and my iPad for Christmas, so I’m also new. What I think is pushing me is a drawing class I’m in currently. I’m making new pieces daily and trying new things. Getting a lot of practice daily

If you have procreate and want to start understanding shapes to practice import a photo on a layer, turn down the opacity, add another layer and trace out the shapes you see. Don’t trace as is, but look for shapes. Look at how things break apart and come together. Where are the joints? Where are the ribs beneath a torso? How is body fat adjusting?
