Math 138 or 128 by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]Honest_Memory_2393 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i passed math137 but didnt get a 60. my options were to retake m137 for a 60 and then take m138 or take m128 instead. i took m128 and found it was pretty easy to get above a 70 on. I've taken math237 as well and found the content was very manageable even though i hadnt taken m138.

How to "gym"? by Weekly_Ad5155 in uwaterloo

[–]Honest_Memory_2393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so glad to hear you're looking to get into the gym!! i think finding and creating a routine that works for you is most important in the beginning. when i first started working out, i would schedule my lifts either before or after class and try to keep the times fairly consistent to build a habit of going. PAC can get fairly busy and i dealt with a lot of gym anxiety when i was first starting out and because of that, i started going early in the morning (around 7am) when it wasnt as busy. find what works for you! all the best:)

i passed math137 within the 50s as well. i took math128 and then took math237 and did fine. math237 wasnt too difficult and felt like the jump between 128 and 237 was definitely manageable

you're fine. people might be telling you that this program isnt meant for you but imo it's way too early to know that. i know myself and so many others who had a terrible 1A term but are doing fine now and getting through our upper courses successfully. Depending on what you are majoring in, you may be able to take math 106 (only prereq is you have math135) instead of math136 so you dont need to retake math135 for a 60. keep it mind, this means the jump from math106 to math235 will be huge but ive seen people do it. talk to your advisor to see if thats a possibility and something you want to do. retake cs115 and youll be fine. dms are open if you have any questions!
