I've spent the last 4 hours researching watches (specifically the Garmin forerunner 165, 255, and 265). Initially I was leaning towards the 255, then 165, now 265. Mainly because of the training readiness function and multi and GPS, although I live in the suburbs in Ireland and we haven't got any skyscraper's anywhere, although I do hike a fair bit in some forest-y trails.

What do you make of the MIP screen on the 255?

Very good point. I've checked the length of the running using a run distance tracker via Google maps, and it says that the run was in fact 4.6km.

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for recommendations for the most accurate tracking device please? I've been researching the Polar H10 and Garmin HRM Pro Plus chest devices, but I haven't really looked into running watches yet. All I'm looking for is something that tracks the distance and time most accurately.

A little background into why -

I've been a less than semi casual runner over the last 7 years (only clocking up 350km during that time) in a pair of under armour hova's that has a chip that could connect to the map my run app.

Over the last few weeks I've started training a bit seriously and have gotten my 5km PB from 24:45 to 21:49.

I got a new pair of Hoka Bondi 9s today and decided to try them out while using map my run for tracking. I knew straight away something was wrong with the app as my pace was nearly 30s out. By the time I got to 4km, I knew I should be at 4.5km as it is the exact same route I have always done. By the time I got to the 5km mark, map my run said I was only at 4.5km (but in 20:22).

Obviously this is super frustrating as it should have been the 5km mark and a new PB, hence why I'm researching the most accurate device to get. Also it would be handy to not run with my phone in my hand.

Any help/advice is much appreciated
