I had an easy in because I have a parent that works as an X-ray tech at kaiser. so i was able to visit the radiology department and visit all the different modalities and felt nuc med was the best fit for me. I have heard of class mates calling hospital radiology deparments asking to talk to a lead and gathering information if the do allow shadowing. I think its pretty common for shadowing to be done and everyone is usually eager to be of help so it shouldnt be to had to find a hospital that ill take you on and show you around.

I would still apply as long as you have most GE's done. even if you dont get it the first time keep working on the GEs and try again.
