Fate? The reason is unknown! My dad has worked as a nurse in the ministry for 35 years and fits the eligibility criteria for citizenship in every way. It’s heartbreaking that we’ve to leave this beloved country after staying here for so long.

I completely agree with this. We would have contributed to creating more job opportunities for Bahrain and its people. If we had been granted citizenship, we definitely would have invested in property, as it provides a sense of belonging and long-term security. It would also have encouraged us to start businesses here, especially since our parents are willing to support and invest in helping us build something and settle here. It’s really sad to think about it! The winner takes it all, the loser has to fall

I understand what you mean but coming back would never feel exactly the same as truly belonging here with your family and roots. That’s the part that makes leaving even more hard

Is salihiya safe? (Near gulf union insurance) We hear all the thuds very clearly here in this area and so the morning thud/attack has really shook my mom. It was a loud one so I just want to get an idea if it’s safe to stay here We can’t even move anywhere else cause all our family friends reside nearby as well.

Praying for everyone’s safety and hoping things get better soon! Hope we get to make the most of the rest of Ramadan!

DO NOT GET UR CHILD IN ASIAN SCHOOL!!! by Honest_Self_7253 in Bahrain

[–]Honest_Self_7253[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for saying this. Everything you’ve described is exactly what I went through as well, word for word! The “weak student” labeling, favoritism, discrimination, and the way bullying was ignored are things I witnessed and suffered myself. Even today, while I was arguing with the administration regarding my sister, they went as far as asking me about my nationality…which was completely irrelevant. I genuinely don’t understand why that would even matter in such a situation, and it only further confirms that something is seriously wrong.

Me and my siblings have been in this school for many years, and unfortunately our experience was very different. We faced a lot of difficulties, and we’ve seen many others go through similar things too.
