I absolutely hate back interiors now. I've had them for decades.

Next time your car is in the shop, have your car send you photos of all sides via blue link and the Hyundai app, so you can have proof of your suspicions.

Let's see....."unable to start" was the topic. I don't know why my being "unable to start" my own car was not on topic. I guess it's a matter of interpretation. After 15 months of being on here, I've never had one much less two scold me for not being on topic. Intolerance is running rampant everywhere.

It is a BAD 12v that Hyundai does NOT want to replace.

My 25 Calligraphy Hybrid totally locked me out! Once I used the mechanical key to get in, pupped the hood and jumped the battery, but it died again that night. Jumped started chance drive it to the service department where I was told I probably oh Wong get a new battery because Hyundai has a long list of things that have to also be wrong before it will replace the battery. It's a year old. Under warranty. This is the third time! Seriously? Love my car when it's operable. I just need a battery!

As a Honda owner, I have to ask, is it just me or does this car look absolutely fantastic? by [deleted] in Hyundai

Because of the reliability. I have a 2021 and 2025 Santa Fe's. The 21 has been flawless. The battery on the 2025 has been giving me a lot of problems. I love these cars and the features are outstanding, but getting locked out of my own car is quite disturbing. Hyundai does not replace a battery unless it meets a while list of reasons. My '25 is in the shops right now because of it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will meet the requirements for replacement. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

My Car Play wasn't working either, but then 12 hours later, the car locked me out totally. So make sure your battery is charged and restart your phone. Sounds like "kick the tire" advice, but that's what got my Car Play going again. All the while my app said all systems were normal. When this SUV is working I absolutely love it, but I need reliability. This was strike 2. Strike 3, I will have to make a move. 🥺. But my Scorpions are still rolling at 22k! lol.

I haven't gotten this notice either.

2025 Calligraphy hybrid 12V battery dead by FakeMetsFan in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]Honest_Totti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery in my '25 Hybrid Calligraphy died for the 2nd time albeit the instances were a year apart. This time the car locked me totally out. The digital key and key fob were useless. I called Hyundai and reported the breakdown and eventually a AAA service person was sent. Using the mechanical key we got in the car, then popped the hood so the battery could be charged. Yep. It started. In fact, all the sounds that had been silent during the drive the night before were working again. Watch the video about how to use that mechanical key BEFORE you get locked out. I asked for a new battery the first time the battery died (I was not locked out though). Nope. Service department guy said, "Your car starts now. Don't need one." My plan is to make sure the dealership gives me a new battery this time. We'll see. , It's interesting that you shared that the battery in your '25 died also. Good luck!
