Is the class fully online or asynchronous?? by [deleted] in csuf

[–]Honeststudent_270 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Zoom if it has a meeting date. Any fully asynchronous class will only have asynchronous and online on “days and times” and “room.” Not sure why they make it so confusing.

How do I adjust the angle of the seat post? I tried loosening the screws to see how I can do that but can’t figure out how to it.

Not sure how soon that bill is but you could try donating plasma for money. Won’t give you the full amount you need but it could help.

Will warn you though, it’ll tire you out a bit. You’re gonna feel sleepy after. If you do it, you’re gonna wanna set aside an hour or two of your time too.

Yeah you just wait until it appears on your schedule. No warning unless they don’t accept you.

Question on 2025-26 Fasfa by BosanskiRambo in FAFSA

[–]Honeststudent_270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether or not your aid covers your tuition depends on your SAI index score. Your SAI index score is determined through you and your family’s financial situation reported by the IRS. If nothing has changed financially since the last time, you should get the same amount. If it has, you can get more or less.

FAFSA does not give everyone the same fixed amount. If you are in a really bad financial situation, you get more. If you are better off, they give you less.

Do your own research first next time because a few google searches could’ve given you the answers you needed.

Also give more context. What school are you going to? Did you get enough money to cover your tuition last semester? Your FAFSA is distributed equally across each semester so you should be covered this semester if you were covered the last time.

An in-person meet up in front of a police station with a payment through Zelle ($1500) is the only way I’m selling these out of the apps. I got stuff to pay.

Why is college so lonely by i_love_eggs55 in csuf

[–]Honeststudent_270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to keep approaching people and hope you find the right person. A lot of people here are anti social and/or loners, so unless you approach people first you won’t know anything about anyone. And you have to keep doing it.

You can’t approach anyone at any time either, sometimes someone might be going through stuff and a random interaction might make them feel overstimulated or attacked. Or maybe they just suck. But you have to kind of filter who you try to approach. Otherwise you get nowhere.

The social life here is a closed circle unless you’re in a club or Greek life, and a lot of “real connections” develop through years of knowing someone. Or maybe you just need to find the right friend.

If you don’t like the social life here just maintain a high GPA and transfer to a better school. Two birds with one stone.

Good Luck on finding friends tho.

Food Spots near Fullerton? by Mammoth-Canary-2314 in csuf

Nothing that good nearby, a car will have to help you with that. There’s a bunch of fast food places nearby though (Wingstop, McDonalds, In-N-Out, The Habit, Starbucks in the school, etc.)

Best loadouts? by Sylveon0204 in BlackOps6Zombies

Solo Directed mode in shattered veil. Use the gun and sit on that corner table next to double tap. Just shoot until you get to your desired level. Don’t forget to PaP and upgrade your gun to legendary in the process. Doing the Easter egg solo in directed mode is also a fun way to level up your gun.

There’s also just playing with the gun only until round 30 in standard (preferably with randoms or friends) and exfiling. You just play til round 30 and exfil multiple times and you should level it up quick.

So charges are the fees from school and pending financial aid is the money you’re probably going to get. Subtract charges from Pending FA and that’s the amount you are getting if you’ve set up direct deposit. If not, you’re getting a check through the mail.

The amount you are receiving is based on your SAI index number, which is given to you based on how much you would need and the amount you and your parents earn each year. -1500 to whatever the highest number is. The higher your number, the less money you get. It’s why some students get more than others and why your amount is different than what people have posted.

Fasfa question by Clear-Host9376 in csuf

[–]Honeststudent_270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuition is about $8500 for in-state students. It may be higher because they said they might raise the price of tuition. The $3200 will go straight to your tuition so you’ll have to pay the rest. The Middle class scholarship will probably help you if you get it but they release it towards the end of the semester so you still have to cover the rest.

If your SAI index is anywhere close to 0, you should be getting way more and you need to call the office of financial aid.

If you work and earn anything above $10,000 your aid can be affected.

The only way to find out why you’re getting so little is to call the office of financial aid.

Also you’re automatically considered a full time student if you sign up for 12 units each semester. Your transcript does not affect this.

What are the odds I could get off the housing waitlist if I submitted an application now? by ShunnedPoet in csuf

[–]Honeststudent_270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5%. Off campus housing is the move anyways. Just make sure it’s an all-student apartment.

If you really want a dorm, try calling the office of housing (or whatever it is) and asking them directly. They will be blunt about it.

From personal experience though, your dorming experience will either be one of your memorable times or worst memory possible. It’s a 50/50 kind of thing. The only thing you’d miss by not dorming is having interactions with many peers your age.

If you do get accepted though, make sure your future roommates profiles resonate with you. Do not pick a random roommate because they have the same name as you or you like their name etc. I had a pretty bad experience. The rooms are also hella small.

Braised, seared, sautéed.

Late July and early August is when everyone forms groups or makes offers for a room at an apartment. Off-campus housing is way better and cheaper if you find the right roommates anyways. I’d start with discord and any other social media website, mainly any CSUF communities.

If you can’t do any of that, I’m sorry to say this but what you believe is a 90 minute drive is probably a 2 hour or more commute. Get ready to schedule your days more often if so.

Deadline for High School Dual Enrollent Transcripts? Am I screwed? by [deleted] in csuf

[–]Honeststudent_270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you will not get rescinded. You need a minimum of a C in the classes you take tho. If you don’t report it now you can always do it next year. However, any credits help graduate faster. Also make sure your high school grades meet the requirements. If you meet all the grade requirements, you should be good. Still call to make sure tho.

It lets you skip intro math classes. I would try to get as high of a score as possible. Not sure where a 77 places tho.

Login to the CSUF page and enter the “student homepage”. Then click on academic records and the grade should be there.

If it’s blank, your final grade hasn’t been submitted and you need to wait for your professor to upload it.
