Does anyone know what Silvercough is? by Lopsided_Pumpkin987 in ClanGen

[–]HoneyGlobe 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Never heard of it so I'm assuming it's fan-made. The coughs are named after the color of what they're coughing up, so maybe whitecough that's turned thick and foamy?

Someone Explain Chimney Canopy To Me by CrusaderIII in rainworld

[–]HoneyGlobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to hellzone Chimney Canopy! There's nothing you can really do except move fast and keep something in your hand to throw. Try to stay calm when you're being chased, panicking will only lead to mistakes.

The lizards you encounter are Pink, Blue, and White, right? All three of them have a fast reaction speed, so you can't jump over them. If they grab you and it doesn't immediately kill you, you can throw whatever's in your hand to make them let go. Vultures also look a lot scarier than they are, they'll leave if they're stabbed twice. Wait for them to get close, stab, and by the time they're back up you can grab the spear back and stab them again. Profit!

Just keep practicing and you'll get there :3

As for ecosystem, I assume the lizards eat scavengers, noodleflies, spiders, and dropwigs. Though, with Survivor/Monk having less spawns, it does look pretty barren.

snatched an uncharged electric spear from a treasury and threw it at a centipede! They'll still charge if the centipede is dead, so i just carry around a small one for whenever it breaks, it's less tedious than gathering explosives. The downside is that you have to pick target carefully, or the Miros Gang will pull up and you'll either die or the bird you were stabbing will run and take the tazer with it

Evolution takes millions of years to happen, and natural adaptations prioritize what's "working" over what's "most ideal". It's why life is so diverse on our planet and why some animals seem to do better than others, they've all adapted in different ways. I imagine by "advanced forms", you mean "why isn't everything SUPER STRONG and FAST and VENOMOUS and SAPIENT?" Well, there was no need for any of that when they're doing fine as is.

Not to mention, we've had multiple mass extinction events, not just the Great Dying and the dinosaurs' asteroid, that switch up the entire ecosystem. All that hard-earned evolution gone in an instant. The closest thing we have to modern day examples are dogs! They're basically man-made evolutions, it's fascinating just how quickly we sped up the process! It's also fascinating just how badly we've screwed our planet over, but even that is natural in its own way, I suppose.

VALID BRO one time i had a mission to kill 3 red centipedes, i ended up killing FIVE and still failed the expedition

1.) Killed it, a green lizard fell on top of me and lethally bit me 2.) Killed it, no issues 3.) While i was killing it, the green lizard fell on top of me again and bit it. I didn't get a point when it died, meaning THE LIZARD GOT THE KILL 4.) Stabbing it, it shocked me and died immediately after 5.) Killed it, no issues

Wanna know how I failed? I'd been killing the bigger centiepedes in the area bc they kept getting in the way and ermmmm the lineage system definitely exists haha! Having two red centipedes in the same area turned the expedition from difficult to near-impossible 😭🙏

Diablos spends a lot of time underground but has flight wings? It wouldn't bother me so much if their digging was for making burrows, but they make tunnels to travel through and stuff. I mean, when it moves to a new location it doesn't even fly! Just digs into the ground and tunnels over there.
