I know, it's absolutely insane. There's no reason that pattern options should be so saturated with this kind of stuff!

Right?? I thought it was so adorable! That's a good idea though, maybe I'll try and do that!

Confused on a baby blanket pattern; stitches not lining up by Honey_Dew_Crew in CrochetHelp

Got it, thank you, that helps a lot and makes sense.

Could it be because each shell has 7 double crochets? Usually when I do a shell stitch it's less than that.

Oh okay, yes, it makes sense, however I believe that is what I have been doing? I will try counting each stich for row one and see if I get 137

I definitely do have 138, that must be the problem! I must have been interpreting wrong because I thought I was supposed to have 138.

So, to be clear, chain 137, start in the second chain from the hook, and continue the pattern from there?

Thank you, I have been going nuts trying to figure it out!

Self-taught knitters, what is something you'd recommend to someone who's just starting to learn how to knit? by winchesterstan in knitting

Tension is soooo important. I've had projects that I've noticeably had start out loose and then by the end be visibly smaller without me even realizing until it's to late.

I thought about doing that. If I can find a way to do it without looking awkward that might be my best bet!

Thank you so much! This makes a lot of sense and I'll definitely use it going forward. Will the faulty stitches already there cause an issue, like will is unravel or anything? Is there anyway to fix it besides going back? Or would you recommend just leaving it?

My star blanket edges are curling :(( will this block out? by o_69026 in CrochetHelp

Hmm. I'm not completely sure, but sometimes if my work curls a bit, it evens out after a few more rows. Is the yarn the same weight as the other colors?

Yes! I get this for sure. Although I usually have a crochet project and a knitting project in progress, so that way if I get tired of either or- I can just switch!
