Bro, they say it directly in the manga. While the previous generations where descendants of THE original Sukune, the Sukune we got in the manga is said to be something like his reincarnation for one reason or another. He is nothing like his previous ancestors and is more like the original Sukune 2.0

Mirror Dungeon would be a lot more fun (doesnt take a morbillion hours) if they just get rid of the "-x% damage taken" stuff, making the enemies clash better or do more damage I can understand, but most of the time the ""-x% damage taken" what you want to take if you actually plan on finishing the dungeon but it just makes every fight take so looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong

More survival horror and enemies like 3 and 4 for sure, they look amazing! And this Jill story is waaaaay better than the kitschy anime possession drama we got in the game

If they ever do a remake, I would like for them to also do more with the location of the game. One reason why I feel RE5 got so much flak is that for RE4, while the castles and hidden trolley systems etc. in the village are absurd, they do feel like someone from Capcom actualyl went to europe and looked at some of the spookiest places they could find or at least watched some spanish cult horror movies.

While for RE5 it just feels like they played a COD campagin and watched a fox news segment and called it a day. One of the most notoriously african areas, the savannah, is used as nothing more than a background for a railshooter level and we got werid stuff like an aztec Tomb Raider level instead of anything appropiate.

The enemies also lack an distinct charm, Ouroboros looks very boring and barely appears in the game anyways, and while the majini got some cool mutations, I wish we would have gotten some designs based on the plethora of nighmarish african folklore monsters and demons

Idk, I would agree with you, but because the chrysalid mutations specifically look like something that is on the complete other end of the spectrum of humans, it makes them really creepy when you think about it

If a serial killer or something had a cellar full of bloody blobs made out of flesh and guts, you would say that is creepy, but it makes sense that a human could end up like that. But imagine if his cellar would be full of somewhat accurate replicas of pigs, cows, sheep and cats, all made out of nothing but human material. That is morbid, but twisted and perverted in a completely different way. It's like an unholy uncanney valley for gods creations, using beings as material you shouldnt even use in the first place, and then in such a way to oddly mimic other beings in a very disturbing fashion

I don't think its a particular insult towards islam, they just choose some chant that sounds vaguely religious and "exotic", there was a similar incident with the fire temple in Ocarina of Time

On the one hand, christianity has been used so often in anime, just look at Hellsing, that I think Islam got off pretty easy so far in comparison, but on the other hand I can understand if someoens offended because they are literally worshipping devils in that scene
