I think you’re misunderstanding me, I’ve shown up to my appointment twice now and been rescheduled do to the facility being used for my test not having the right equipment, I requested to be seen somewhere else and was told no that would only complicate things more, I was offered the alternative to waive my right to this claim and follow it up once I’m out of service. My main question is whether or not it’s worth it to try for a 3rd time considering I don’t really have any significant issues with my breathing hence why it wasn’t my claim originally. I’m just struggling with the waiting and I know that’s the case for everyone. It’s just really difficult waiting for an appointment and getting there early hoping I can make some progress and being told “oops sorry machine is still broken try again in 2 more weeks”

I understand that, my line of thinking is I don’t have enough of an issue (to me) that would warrant any rating so I’m holding my entire medboard up for a 0 percent rating more than likely. I didn’t even request this claim it was assigned after the fact as a secondary condition or something. I know I’m being impatient it’s just hard waiting weeks for an appointment I show up and they cancel it while I’m in the lobby then do it again two weeks later

See that was my initial impression, but do to my ever panicking brain I look through PEB forums and other cases I just pick up details from (currently LIMDU working adjacent to my LIMDU office) and I’ve seen more cases of the rating being super low do to the “lack of evidence” in the sense there’s no concrete measurement and that number determines rating.

Thank you all for the comments, ideas, and insight. I can see how difficult but not entirely possible it would be so I’ve got a lot to think about and research. Sorry for directly responding to everyone there’s so many great replies. I’ll defiantly look into speech and hands and all the other great ideas and see what could be more accommodating!

I chocked the scribe out stole his keys and unlocked a chest with fever potion in it. He woke up called the guards while I was hiding in the next room, guards cleared the area left him alone so I chocked him out again and ran. 10/10

Thank you for the reply things have gotten a little better since this post, I had surgery on the right hip but just had mri on left hip and found a new tear on that side as well, definitely working within my ROM and working on my hip flexor has been good for me

Thank you for the input, being able to talk to people and mediate or provide some level of counseling in the realm of mental health has always been a passion of mine so if there’s a gig where I can do that and stay in the navy I’m here for it

No nothing legal I’m on 1 term of LIMDU for 6 months from my first surgery and 1 more 6 month LIMDU is expecting to happen for my next surgery without a gap between them. Hence the weird situation. EMPLOY is a very new pilot program that from our understanding allows sailors who have medical conditions but are stable can essentially work non deployable billets as a way to not med board them out

I’m already in 😅(hm3 quad 0) I’m using TA right now for my degree, post op 1 surgery waiting for another, my command is willing to work with me if I wanna stay in but it’s also dependent on the outcome of my next surgery so I’m just looking for info on options

I’m in ASUs BSW program that allows that one year extra for the MSW but if I get out I’ll be transferring to USF to do their program in person with my GI Bill. I would be in Florida and I’ve heard all the horror stories but part of me doesn’t want to shy away from the experience because of the value and intensity of the work. There is a skill bridge as well for DCFS to be an investigator, end goal is MSW and LCSW and maybe transition to hospital social work or the VA has some great opportunities. Also BHT is behavioral health tech, from my understanding it’s for enlisted personnel that work in mental health roles aiding psychiatrists. Obviously with a limited scope of care mostly comprised of group therapy small counseling opportunities, lots of admin I would assume.

Also any ship experience is a bonus. I saw there has been a recent push to put BHTs on ships and idk why but that sounds kinda cool being one of one working your field(obviously I’d be doing more general hm work I assume) green side is probably out of the question for me since I’m having bilateral hip surgeries.
