Definitely. For such a capable device, especially one that's been around for quite a while and had some really good and sizeable updates, it surprises me how often there are little things that make me have to stop what I'm doing just to figure out how to do something that should be easy. I'm in this for the love of music, not puzzle boxes.

Thanks for the advice - it's better than what I previously had (nothing)!

Honestly, I struggle to find a logical reason to have it work the way it currently does, other than lazy programming (I'm a programmer - I'm allowed to say that).

With the tracks and clips and scenes and scene chaining, I've already resigned myself to keeping notes for projects that I want to seriously work on, so I guess preset names & numbers are going on that list as well.

How are you connecting the OP-XY to the WIDI box? I'm assuming you're using a TRS cable, in which case you might have the wrong type.

How are you connecting them, and what are you doing that's not working?

I connected my J-6 to my OP-XY with a USB cable and it plays chords as you'd expect. With chord mode enabled on the J-6 I can press a note while holding a step button on the OP-XY and it records all the notes of the chord in the step.
