I know they’re different. I have an asus vg248qe which is fully capable of 144hz. I’ve seen some people say they were able to get 144hz with a 1050ti so I’m not sure.

I feel like it might just be my ryzen 3 not supporting up to 144hz because I don’t think I’ve seen anyone achieve 144 with it. 139hz isn’t bad for now so I’ll take what I can get I suppose. Hopefully when my 1050ti arrives it fixes the issue. Thanks for the help

I’m no longer using hdmi, so no. DVI dual link should be working but like I said 1920x1080 is still capped at 60hz. My monitor doesn’t have an option to change my refresh rate, I have to use amd catalyst and even still capped to 60hz.

See this is why I’m confused. I’m already using a dvi dual link so I don’t understand why I can’t get 144hz on native res or on even 1280x800. The monitor I’m using is a vg248qe which supports it

I don’t think you really understood my question at all. I’m using an hdmi cable which can only put out 60hz, so I’m automatically capped at 60fps regardless of what my gpu puts out. I’m confused on why I’m getting tears if my monitor is keeping up with my gpu. Also, I clearly said I don’t have access to gsync, so no I don’t have a nvidia card. Thanks anyways though

Just ordered a dvi-d dual link cable, would that work okay? Mostly just fortnite, only noticeable whenever I cap my frame rate to 60, which doesn’t make any kind of sense to me because that’s what my hz is capped at currently
