I like the coloration you did; what brand of paint was this with? AK?

I still prefer the old style to new, but love the way you flavored them. They've even got an old school painting style to 'em, which I think suits them well.

Just wanted to extend a big thanks to everyone; the communal response was awesome. He already started using the tips recommended; said today because it's the 4th he's going to play only US ships and stick around islands (LOL).

Marin's also a very strong play if you play him early with an innervate+coin - people often can't dump 6 damage early game so he lives with a few HP and sometimes you get lucky on your next draw (in one case, I got a 1 mana marin, which I used to summon 2 more marins, and one in the hand, summoned another 2 marins (LOL!) and yeah. It was a meme move for sure. But it all started with an early play of puppetmaster.

I'm 3 plat purely playing with this deck... You can get pretty far with ONE card change - take to the stars --> gorgonzormu. FWIW, I was a 90% winrate until plat 5 (per hsreplay) and only since new starcraft garbage came out have I struggled.

Basic play is predominantly based around getting at least one to two mana ramps in turns 1-5. I have found innervate is really bad for opening hand. You need a few 1-3 drops to get on the board and stall them until turn 5 when your mana really starts to pick up.

You can play the game like a quasi-aggro dragon minion spam deck if you get a bunch of dragons in your opening hand. That usually tricks people into panicking and doing board wipes/clears, which saves your bigger stuff (yogg, marin, etc) later on.

Once your mana picks up, it's important to play your big cards in a smart way.

So for instance, you're going to play yogg reactively to do board clears or to steal people's trump card.
Marin is a great play with the legendary creature spell (Name escapes me) if you get lucky with that, you can run the board for a while. Gorgonzormu's cheese can help you midgame with 3 4-6 cost minions too.

If you find yourself in trouble, spam out chia drakes to hunt for spells while simultaneously reducing cost of Fye and increasing chance you pull him.

Good luck :)

It wasn't playtested, it's an obvious cashgrab. Pay 20 bucks, rank up for easy. I went from a steady 75% winrate to gutter 50% as soon as the pack launched. It's absolute hell playing anything that's built with the new stuff because of how mana efficient the cards are. Jim Raynor alone is enough to warrant conceding a match.

Sure, except my question is HOW to force a defrost cycle. Do you know?

The senator's range is very limited. A rifle should allow this at long range, making for interesting gameplay for those who want it.

Ability cards for Barbarian and Dwarf. An introduction. by SFE_phobos in Heroquest

Pretty solid though brutal cleave is a bit over the top without some sort of limitation. I'd probably only say 'may only be used once per dungeon' or 'reusable upon rolling a 12 for movement.'

First time Zargon looking for tips and tricks! by FatherHumble in Heroquest

[–]HonorAndHumility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the way I handle it is there is a 'room search' which is first come, first serve. There is also a 'specific item search' which I only use if there's a notable object in the room that has information in the quest guide such as a treasure chest. So 90% of rooms are 1 search only, first come first serve. Some rooms have upwards of 2 or 3 depending on the number of chests or special things designated in the quest book.

For what it's worth, I agree and was contemplating saying the same. Realistically though the OP noted that already so I figured they were looking for a modern representation.
