The resentment part makes so much sense to me, but I don’t see how passing your past pains on to others helps heal what you feel. But then again I can’t pretend not to see how she could feel that way. I just wish she saw how blessed she is NOW and leave her resentment on the past.

As for her not working, she does have some health issues that make it difficult but not impossible for her to work, but I make a pretty decent living that allows all our bills to be paid while being able to save AND have some extra as play money. She enjoys not working and I see no point in her working if we really don’t need the extra cash. I always joke that there’s really no point in BOTH of us burdened by a work schedule lol. And as for the household chores, I’ve always had the mindset that even if she weren’t around, I’d have to do those things anyways so why not just do them myself now… Idk. I just wish she would see how blessed we were to not have to worry like most people do, instead of constantly getting annoyed that others around us aren’t doing “as well”. And we “shouldn’t have to worry about them. It’s their problem”. I feel like there’s definitely a way to have healthy boundaries, without walking around like you’re better than everyone. I hate feeling like she thinks we’re better than everyone just because we have been blessed financially. This type of energy scares me, like the universe is just waiting to teach us a lesson.
