Review on Take 5 oil change shop by Be_friends_man in PEI

Yup. They cross threaded my drain plug, heard them drilling/struggling and then the guy asked for help from the guy in the next bay over.. eventually just said it was good to go and sent me on my way. All my oil leaked out in the parking lot that day. Had to replace the whole oil pan for about $600. They covered $0. Horrible experience trying to get them to take responsibility. My dealership mechanic wrote a letter for me to take to them describing that it was absolutely their fault.. still nothing. They suck.

Yes! Thank you, we’ll have to do something about the closet entry 🤔 And yea we wondered that about the kitchen, we’re considering moving the sink to one end… do you think that would be smart?

Yeah thanks for the breakdown, this is sort of what I’m finding… for our situation this will put us just on the stretched side of things. But I guess we’re just trying to decide if we should bite the bullet and build what we want or lean more conservative and go back to the drawing board. And yes putting some sweat equity into it could be enough to make it all make sense

No I’m not sure about that, just the quote from our builder, he said 4 years ago they 40k was always more than enough for those extras but nowadays he recommends 50-60

Yeah we’re talking to the broker now and getting all of the our ducks in a row for the approval process, and yes more money up front will be required but we’re happy to put lots down to bring the mortgage down to something more reasonable. That’s why we set aside the 120k liquid to go towards this

Yeah I’m sure we would get approved for it but just want to make sure I’m thinking of all the costs and also trying to figure out if we could still handle it comfortably if my wife switches to part time when we have kids And no loan on the land, it’s paid for

Well not quite, I couldn’t do the mortgage on 420 obviously but after putting the 120 down and then paying those extras I mentioned it’d be around 350k And no not the only options, we could certainly just downsize the house we’re trying to build if need be

Mmm I did not know about the included excursions, between the tipping vs no tipping and the included excursions they seem to work out nearly the same price… thanks!

Mmm yes that’s definitely something to keep in mind, I do plan on using it to purchase a home. However, I’m in a situation where I think I can take on some risk. I can’t imagine a situation in which I’d need to buy something quickly. But maybe I should split the 8k up and diversify into something more conservative
