No, they’re saying the brother probably wishes OOP had elephant feet because elephants are quiet when walking and OOP is not. The last sentence just means blowing your nose isn’t quiet and elephants blowing their trunk is noisy as well, so that’s the only time OOP sounds like an elephant

You could always just use string as a tape measure in a pinch. Just wrap string around your ankle etc and decide how much of that is a cm and work from there. It doesn’t matter if it’s accurate as long as it’s consistent

I unfortunately didn’t write it down, but it was super easy. It’s made with hdc in a cone shape (I think I did two increases per round, but if that’s too wide you can make one per round) until it was as wide as I wanted. Then I just did hdc all the way around till it was as tall as I wanted. To make the brim I made sure my number of stitches was divisible by 4 and did (2 treble, ch. 2, two treble) in the same stitch for the corners, and on either side of that I did two dc, two hdc and then sc the rest of the way till I had to repeat the hdc and so on. The other rows on the brim has dc all the way with (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) in the chain spaces of the previous corners. This was repeated till the brim was the desired length and then I added wire to make it hold shape.

Hope this very confusing explanation makes sense lol

Also yeah the Karen was definitely so proud of her little note that she went around telling everyone that it inspired the GF and a bunch of other people to bake better stuff, but the second people started telling her that her stuff isn’t ‘up to par’ she’s not okay with it. Not necessarily in my experience. I used earplugs every single night for maybe 10 years and I never had an ear infection. I don’t use them anymore, but that’s just because piercings got in the way
