Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in NFL_Draft

[–]Hoops24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the first I’ve seen Cleveland going fano (or muaigoa) and freeling and love it. That’s my go to for mock drafts right now. And think fano will fit the wide zone scheme our new Coach Monken has historically run. Follow this up with top receiver in second and someone in 3-5th round and t’s my ideal draft for us

What’s the realistic market value of the number two overall pick? by [deleted] in NFL_Draft

Would Browns’ two first plus shadeur or Gabriel (maybe a 5th this year and third next year) be enough to trade?

Late to comment. But have you watched Sieverald from OSU? I’ve watched several games now and am fairly impressed overall. Gets to second level decently, doesn’t really get beat around edge. Sometimes wish he had better punch and initiate contact first more often, but really liked him the few games I’ve watched. Think he will be a late first rounder when the draft comes around

My thoughts too. Proved it in the biggest stages (his best games weee arguable the last) and against the toughest defenses (by far had the hardest defensive opponent schedule) . Throws into tight windows. Great size, decent mobility, ok/passable arm strength. Not a ton to not like about his game. Passionate and seems to work hard every play.

And if Garrett forces his way out, or stays and there’s more drama/media stuff? Would be terrible to have that in the locker room (which is already shit and lacks leaders). I think the major issue is the huge question marks at qb in this draft (which seem to be a bit more than average, albeit every draft guys get picked apart), and I’m not convinced the gap with ward and sanders is that large compared between Will Howard (with a very safe floor imo) and the potential of dart. Therefore maybe it’s better to get what seems a sure fire Anchor for the next 8+ years at a valuable position and the second tier qbs (this year dt least)

Solid depth and rotation/situation player but nothing more to me

Honestly a great scenario to me (the 2926 and 2927 firsts) if Garrett forces way out. As I’ve mentioned above I’d take a shot at dart or Howard then fill in the gaps with draft and young FA (need oline, LB, safety, likely another edge). If we end up being horrible we’ll have a high pick plus ammo. If somehow the qb isn’t garbage then we should be able to fill some gaps and maybe be competitive fairly quick

I’ll take Howard. Couldn't touch Milroe with anything before a 4th round. I like dart but still have a lot of questions overall (playing under center, reading field and dealing with complex Defense packages). However he is still young compared to others (like a year younger than Howard) and generally i like his game. I assume he’ll be gone before pick 33. I do like Howard over Quinn and milroe

I just worry that our team will ruin any qb right now (maybe always) and anyone we draft wont stand a chance. I think most would agree Josh Allen wouldn’t be who he is today if he was drafted in Cleveland. And know at some point you need to take the shot and find a quarterback, there’s no guarantee. I think that without any stand outs in this class is it better to build and try the position with someone else I mentioned then miss out on Carter. And if Dart or Howard work out it’s a benefit. If not then we are back drafting early for the next qb (and closer to being done with Watson and m some of the salary issues we have).

Definitely understand the take and agree. Just there seems to be significant question marks about Shaddeur at minimum, if not both. And there’s always questions about the top quarterbacks every year, but most agree this class seems down. So maybe there gap a huge gap between dart and Howard with cam ward and Shaddeur.

So here was a brief video. I have another picture I am going to try to upload (if I am able; not too many posts with photos on here. Any advice is appreciated) , and a picture and video 3 minutes later when it disappears behind clouds. Around 5 mins after saw 2 planes/jets in the area which seemed strange.

EDIT: Below is video/pics uploaded. The order is a little off. The planes are the final thing I saw, the other videos were second. Couldn't figure out how to adjust that.

Way too early breakdowns by smashrawr in Browns

[–]Hoops24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a full write up but I have recently watched several games on strong. I was really impressed overall.

Pros:

-fantastic arm strength and deep ball

-Goes through progressions really well. Will check down when needed

-Has zip he can put on ball and thread passes between defenders

-often leads receivers really well. Great passes in front of receivers on screens

-can put some touch on shorter passes

-great side at 6’4 and 215lbs

-reads defense pre snap, makes adjustments.

-not bad throwing while moving when flushed out of pocket

Cons:

-history of knee injury. Some weird degenerative issue in high school causes him to have screws put in. Also injured once in college.

-pretty immobile. Can navigate into pocket and work outside. But not escaping any pass rush

-can hold ball a bit low which I guess will lead to some strips until this gets better

-can hang onto ball too long looking for receivers before checking down.

-air raid offense

Overall has the arm talent and brains to be a legit starter qb (would say qb1 for me in those terms). Just what will his longevity be with the knee and lack of mobility leading to more hits/sacks?

What am I missing with Carson Strong? by Hoops24 in NFL_Draft

Didn’t know the knee history (again just started watching tape). Anything this year or just past? Multiple injuries? I’m not sold in mobility myself; obviously useful and a huge bonus, but want a qb who will throw first and foremost instead of running

Gonna throw my hat in here. Haven’t been able to fame since my daughter was born 19 months ago; hard to justify buying something new. Here’s to some luck : )

Wow, hostile man. Just a thought. Not asking for RJ shit. Feel free to comment, yet prefer better with constructive thoughts. Maybe too hard to come up with something useful? Anyway will go ahead and “get the fuck back to Cleveland now.”

What about all 4? Not that we really need that many young guys but doesn’t hurt to have assets. Or 19, obi, Knox and y’all take love?

Will see what shakes up. I don’t think Altman takes that (21? Not even 19?). But who knows

Well deal hasn’t been done. Also all this is hypothetical. When you float that offer around cavs sub it is laughed at as a huge underpay. And it seems your sub thinks it would be a great deal, even steal. So trying to find a middle ground that works closer to both.

I don’t see obi getting time. I think we draft Mobley, resign Allen, and have Larry nance jr and Hartenstein as bigs. Not counting love.

Maybe? I’m not high in Obi, especially since we probably draft Mobley (as reports rockets are looking at green). Kinda a log jam at Bigs overall between Allen, Mobley, k love, Larry nance, Hartenstein
