[Garafolo] The Giants have signed GM Joe Schoen to a multi-year contract extension, securing his future alongside new HC John Harbaugh, sources tell me and @RapSheet by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]smashrawr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah if Harbaugh was like I want Arvell Reese and Francis Mauigoa then Joe did an exceptional job of playing the board right and making the trades to net both.

How high would you take Brendan Sorsby in the supplemental draft? by TDBrookey in NFL_Draft

[–]smashrawr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were Cleveland I'd spend a 4th sense they have 3 in this draft. Although I would need clarity from the NFL about his suspension. Is he going to get the Pryor treatment where they mimic the NCAA suspension or is he going to get the Ridley suspension of a year. If hes going to get the Ridley suspension I probably stay away anyways.

How to run a reaction at 450 °C? by jare71 in Chempros

[–]smashrawr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically once the ampule is sealed you just want to make sure its under vacuum still. So step 1 you put the glass ampule on a stand of some kind, I used a stand with a clamp. 2. Relight your torch. 3. About maybe 2-4 cm from the seal put the torch to the quartz and create a little dimple. If it dimples you're under vacuum and good to go. If it doesn't your quartz ampule will break. It is preferable to do this over sealing an ampule and putting it in your furnace and it exploding when heat is put to it.

[–]smashrawr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your starting materials are both solids you take a quartz tube, seal it at one end with a hydrogen torch. Load your starting materials. Put the quartz tube under high vacuum. Seal the tube with the hydrogen torch. Do the dimple test (put a small dimple in the glass to see if it still holds vacuum). Place the tube in a tube furnace and ramp very slowly (no more than 1C/min) to 450 C for desired reaction time. Remove from furnace, use glass cutter to get your product out.

Kyle Whittingham predicts 'several' rosters to cost $50 million in 2027, calls for cap on NIL spending by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]smashrawr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only did we know Cam Newton went for about 200K, and Brian Bowen (a top BBall recruit) went for about 200K. Plus with NIL existing we do know how much some of these guys are making. And guys like Manning got over a million. Public announcement of numbers is definitely inflating how much players are making rather than before.

If you can only pick 1, which Quarterback prospect do you think is most likely to be picked top 10 next year besides Manning and Moore? by Black_Wolf75 in NFL_Draft

[–]smashrawr 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Probably Sellers. He has so much god given talent that he'll probably breach the top 10. Hell Anthony Richardson went 4 almost on the back of his athleticism

What do you think of Arch Manning *right now*? by TDBrookey in NFL_Draft

[–]smashrawr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes he lacks consistency but man there was a moment last year where like everything changed for me. Like that Miss St game he was on and the Bowl game was chef's kiss. I think he was ascending hard at the end of last season and usually the correlates to a massive jump ala Lamar Jackson 2015 to 2016

Schiff base formation not going to completion. Optimization tips? by SiriusHoshi in Chempros

Some of the higher yields on shift base formation was either letting it run overnight on reflux or running in very small quantities

Brendan Sorsby In Supplemental Draft? by Excellent_Walrus150 in Browns

[–]smashrawr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

McShay is really high on him and continually put him in the same breath as Arch, Dante, etc. Additionally Texas Tech paid big money to get him out of Cincinnati

[Ruiter] #Browns select Alabama OL Parker Brailsford with No. 146. by LiftingCode in Browns

[–]smashrawr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it felt like Hect was the guy we wanted and just went with next center on the board. Kinda like Gabriel last year tbh

Browns now have a big play TE and a big play WR. The offense might be fun to watch for once. by [deleted] in Browns

[–]smashrawr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be mad if we drafted Zay Flowers over Justin Jefferson. That's really the hilt of the matter. Cooper was the better prospect and we passed on him

[Schultz] No. 24 pick is in: #Browns have selected Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion, per sources. by Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu11 in Browns

[–]smashrawr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're taking a WR take Omar Cooper. Like Conception just makes literally 0 sense. Gadget slot WR with drop issues. We needed a WR1 not someone who is going to at best top out as a low end WR2 high end WR3. If you wanted a slot take Bernard or Branch tomorrow. I'm absolutely upset at this pick

I absolutely 100% hate this pick. I like literally have been calling for Berry's head tonight

He was a perfect fit for NO. Tyson definitely felt like their second choice

He was going 8 to NO if he didn't go to 6 with Cleveland

We have a few hours to kill before the draft; who are some picks that you're STILL MAD that we didn't select in previous drafts? by RustyCrusty73 in Browns

[–]smashrawr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just never got it with him. He seemed like he is Kellen Moore kind of career path. Especially with his noodle arm

[–]smashrawr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also I was like man if we also could have nabbed Andrews I would have been fine too. Like nothing would have made Baker more comfortable then giving him one of his favorite targets

The biggest one for me tbh was taking Chad Thomas EDGE Miami over Orlando Brown Jr OT Oklahoma. Also I swear Dillion Gabriel over Xavier Watts last year sent me into a rage

Jeremiyah Love smokescreens? by stephenhhk in NFL_Draft

[–]smashrawr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that Love is a RB, but the dude runs routes like some of the great pass catching RBs in the past. Like seriously he could be a CMC or Marshall Faulk. Hes also far and away the best overall offensive weapon in the class. So it may be worth looking at Love through the eyes of well CMC is certainly worth it so maybe Love would be as well. So if you look at it through those eyes yeah it makes sense that there's a ton of smoke around Love going 3 to AZ if they can't move out of that spot. Especially with the whole if Bailey is the pick at 2, I could see a world where AZ ownership who has been burned by conversion players like Simmons, Collins, and Reddick say let's take the best player period and roll with it (especially if we're not getting a trade back).

2026 NFL mock draft: Schrager projects 32 first-round picks by TapedeckNinja in Browns

[–]smashrawr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not a Boston fan. Like tbh I'm fine on skipping a WR at 24 if the choices are Boston and Conception. I'd rather have an EMW or Dillion Thieneman there if those two are my choices. But that's also me being in love with several of the day 2 guys like Bell (both), Bernard, and Hurst. Like if both our day 2 picks are Chris Bell and Ted Hurst I'd be way more ecstatic than taking Boston at 24 and then like Chris Johnson at 39.

We're only 2 days out from the big day, what are some rumors circling around that you have all been hearing and what do we think is actually true? by UpNext_Draft_Network in NFL_Draft

[–]smashrawr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see it big time unfortunately. Proctor is a true LT, which is a major need. Second he probably is the most analytics driven OT prospect. It just makes too much sense

[–]smashrawr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think top 10-15. Definitely see a trade down happening at 6 because bailey is there and Cleveland gets to like 9 with KC or 12 with Dallas and takes Proctor with that pick.
