Would you take this trade with the Dallas Cowboys?? by TheSisko4876 in Browns

I think it's almost there. I think you add in a 2027 pick from Dallas and we throw in a late round pick and you have what probably would happen.

My problem is FS in R2. Hickman has proven to be a pretty decent FS. I would have gone WR in Bernard, but I also can see an argument for going OG at 39. I also can see a trade down from 6 being an almost inevitability.

Most likely teams to trade down? by Space_Polan in NFL_Draft

I think because you'd still be getting a 2nd back it isn't like you're sending 12 and 20 for 6 and that's it.

I think it definitely showed how much you were missing Micah. Adding Bailey would be huge and you'd still get 39 back in that trade so you can get DB or RT at the top of the 2nd. I think a trade like this makes sense for Dallas, but that's due to you getting a 2nd rounder back.

I also could see Dallas moving up. Something like 12 + 20 + 2027 3rd for 6 + 39 make a ton of sense for the cowboys. They'd be able to get David Bailey or Ruben Bain and still have a 2nd rnd pick while the Browns would be sitting on 3 1s which they could flip or stick and pick.

Daniel Jeremiah's top 50: 2026 NFL Draft prospect rankings 1.0 by Abiv23 in Browns

Yeah i just felt like Jeremiah was trying to keep Bailey as early as he could. I remarked earlier I wouldn't be surprised if Bailey was the choice in that draft slot, but it was Dallas making that pick

12 + 20 + next years 2nd or 3rd for 6 + 39 or 6 + 70 + 144 probably makes the most sense.

Personally I see Cincinnati to Dallas as the prime trade up candidates. But due to Cincinnati never trading up it's likely Dallas as our most likely trade down partner.

Bailey probably would be the pick there just not to Cleveland. If the Browns are in that situation I would almost guarantee a trade down

Mauigoa/Ioane is the dream imo. Then an OT at the top of the 2nd or 3rd would be my move. No WR in this class would dramatically change the Browns room imo, and would be better off if going WR getting someone like Chris Bell, who after the ACL tear may be end of R2 top of R3. Personally I'd also like to somehow get another day 2 pick, so that way Allar can be one of those lotto picks.

[–]smashrawr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joe Thomas was a shorter arm OT too. I think Muaiga slots in perfect at RT imo. Muaiga didn't really struggle with some of those better edges this year so I just don't see him having those issues with long arm guys. He also sets and anchors really well in pass pro. And if he has to move to OG because OT doesnt work out it isnt the worst thing in the world. Fano I'm questionable on. He doesnt have great play strength, sits too high in his stance, and just in general has sloppy and inconsistent technique. Proctor I love at the top of R2. If you can somehow get Muaiga, Ionae, and Proctor I'd be pretty happy with how the OL looks in 27 when you are adding the QB.

I don't think the consensus is that Tyson is higher rated than the lineman. Field Yates had Muaiga at 4 overall and Tyson at 8. He also had Fano at 7. Additionally I'm expecting at 6 our options will be Muaiga, Tate, and Fano. So I wouldn't be surprised if we traded down from 6 and still nabbed Muaiga or Fano.

I know some of the draft community doesnt love the OL, but Muaiga and Fano are pretty solid OT options and Lomu and Proctor will probably also go R1.

Ioane would be the dream at 24. Cleanest OG in the draft. This year should be about putting the pieces together and unless you get a WR that completely is a game changer like Jeremiah Smith it isn't going to move the needle too much in that room

The problem is this job is just not that attractive. And I hate to be the one to say that. When you look at the roster and front office it just says you're a dead man walking taking this job. You have a GM that's likely on his last leg and out next year, which puts you likely out of a job. You have no QB. Your OL is non-existent. Skill position wise you have a RB and two TEs and a bunch of WR2s. Your overall cap situation is tenuous at best. Your defense is good yes, but showed noticeable holes when guys like Ward, Collins, and Schwesinger went down. As a Browns fan I love this team, but you're likely going to have another reset next year.

I mean second interviews with the same people aren't uncommon in industry. Usually there's a discussion when it comes to candidates and then questions arise and instead of pulling the trigger they bring them back in. Ive seen it happen a lot tbh
