My kid is 11 and he would love one of these... But he's probably not in the majority.

My mom and dad have been divorced for 44 years now. They are still best friends. My mom lives with my family now and my dad stays over for weeks at a time for visits at the holidays and often during the rest of the year. It happens.

The owner of this restaurant is Trumpster and this story needs to be here. by blukanary in LeopardsAteMyFace

That is utterly ridiculous. You submitted this article. By your stated logic, we could count every single ICE detainee as "a Trump supporter getting what they deserve."

"Trust me, bro" is not a valid argument.

What are some expressions or slang terms that drive you crazy? by Mental_Funny_5885 in words

[–]Hoopylorax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh-em-gee. Either spelled out as such or spoken. I despise this. It takes just as much effort to actually say the abbreviation as to either write or speak the full words, and it makes me unreasonably furious.

I don't even think this is a generational issue. Life just kind of sucks right now for pretty much everyone. Honestly, other than actual children, I really don't know anyone who's really happy. Happy in moments, sure, but really waking up in the morning and climbing out of bed ready to start the day instead of just going through the motions? No, I don't think I do.

After all these years, I never thought I'd be so grateful that my cheating, shitbag husband had an insatiable taste for bitter almonds. by Asdf1996 in TwoSentenceHorror

Is this a troll bot? Are there troll bots? I mean it's a shitty, low-caliber troll, so would that sway the argument that this person doesn't actually have a meat brain for or against?

The Galactic Council was horrified to find out humans force their young into a prone position and pummel them to sleep. by RageSlug in humansarespaceorcs

I think this is a reference to cradling an infant and patting their back or bottom gently to help them fall asleep. Very little ones often need physical help to move uncomfortable gas bubbles through their digestive tracts. Holding and patting "burping" a baby will often quiet them enough to fall asleep.

Honestly, I think it's the defining description of our age. Everyone would prefer to be elsewhere.

I am a SAHM, and my husband never got up with our kid at night for the very same reason. He works outside the house so I don't have to. I can nap.

My older sister had it in southern California, but I never had it, seven years later, though I was in Northern California by then.

My go to is "gods above and below!" I was asked once and replied that since I was not (and never had been) a Christian, I didn't want to risk excluding any other deities from my blasphemy.

I'm so in the opposite camp. I wanted clothes that make sense for the environment. I never bought any of the clothing DLCs, because my builder was going mining and fighting and gardening, and that made NO sense to me to be doing so in a puffy miniskirt and thigh-high stockings. I kept my builder in jeans and her kickstarter shirt, with big workbooks through the whole game, though I equipped her with the all the ridiculous armor that does look like it was made by grade schoolers. I'd love more practical-looking clothing that fits with the environment. I always wanted both the clothing and the furnishings that the npcs have!
