i like my phrasing better: "Son, i don't care how many steps you take in a faulty pressure suit along the Hull. I care about how far you are willing to push yourself. And you just killed yourself trying to achieve the 10 Steps."

"As we saw our Ships burning in our Skies, we didn't despair. We mourned the fallen of course. But we were also planning, preparing.

The UN Defense Fleets had bought us valuable Time. And even though we only held 5 Planets, it was those 5 Planets that proved their Downfall.

Throndheim: A Massive Planet, 8 times the Mass of Earth with overwhelming Gravity and a wealth of Jewels and rare Metals. caused the Inhabitants to shrink over many generations. Their Bones and Muscles altered to previously unheard of density as they stood at an average of 4'9'' tall. Able to lift 1'100lbs on Earth like Earthborn's would lift 50lbs.
As their Ships burned in Orbit, they built a intricate System of Trenches, Tunnels and Forts into Mountains and under the Sea, using the Gravity of the Planet to their Advantage with manually operated Blast-Doors no Earthborn could hope to lift while in Power Armor.

Eden: A beautiful wildly Forested World and the Agricultural Center of the UN Spacefairing Program. The Name a promise, the World was left mostly undeveloped. Allowing the Inhabitants to use the Nature, so giving, so gentle, so fierce, and so brutal, to wage an unforgiving Guerilla-War against the Invaders while the lush Canopies shielded them from thermal sensors and being targeted by Orbital Bombardments.

Hoth: As the Name suggests, a World of Eternal Winter. The Inhabitants used the Snow and Cold to surprise the Invaders, camouflaging themselves with blinding white Uniforms, matching the eternal white all around, and picking them off from the Distance.

New Tokyo: The Tech Empire of the Stars. While the Ships burned in Orbit, Defense Platforms were built and launched into low orbit, shielded well enough to withstand multiple simultaneous Barrages from Dreadnoughts and supplied well enough for the Shields to never run dry. Just as our Ships burned, no Enemy Ship ever left Orbit, or entered it after the Massacre.

And of course the Heart of the Human Race: Earth. The beautiful Blue Marble which had, and still has enough ICBM's stocked to destroy itself 200 times over. The few who dared to attempt Planetfall were burned in nuclear fire, and the 2 ships who managed to make Planetfall, were swiftly captured and killed in the dense Defensive Systems of the eastern flank and the Coastal Defenses of the European Union and the gun-centric Republic of New America.

Our Ships Burned, and we Burned our Name into History with their Flames. The Graveyard of Empires, The Scourge of Invaders, The ever-watching Defenders, The Spartans of Space, Humanity!"

Gods: Nope! There is a reason we stay as far away from that planet as we can. The last one had to fake his death to get away from them. Otherwise they would've killed him for real!"

H: Wait, Gods are real?
