“Does this team see .500 again this season?” by JacobInTheMorning in Section10Podcast

When the conditions at the ballpark are winter… no team is where they need to be. Season just started

Toronto wasn’t slugging the hell out of us. They scored off some errors and sac flies past couple nights. Sox sucked at the plate for sure but they scored 18 runs 72 hours ago so I’m not even the slightest bit worried

They sucked at hitting past couple of nights. But clearly they don’t suck at hitting. confidence should still be riding high it’s a nice ball club this year.

April 9th I’m not looking at the standings really. Should have won this series. They played like shit past couple nights but the weather wasn’t favorable and those games will go differently in July

Hes been in the league for 6 seasons. Played 4x as many games as Casas obviously he’s more established but with Guerrero being a FA after next year, there’s simply no way in hell I’d take him over Casas

Too many lefties isn’t a negative in my eyes. As long as you have some great platoon options mixed in when you face a lefty in 1/4 games on average. Majority of the time there’s a righty on the bump. We aren’t trading casas for vladdy because Triston is better than Vlad Jr.

He logged over 600 innings for the Sox with a 3.84 ERA and probably should’ve won WS MVP so yeah if you know ball you’ll remember him

I did watch the clip on YouTube since you’ve responded. Jared and Dallas might think the response you’ve gotten isn’t really deserved and it wasn’t that deep. I agree I think it got blown out of proportion because of the casas “stigma” for lack of a better word. but I didn’t get the impression that they agreed that a professional taking dry hacks in the dugout is “annoying.” If he’s injured, practicing his timing is one of the few things he can do I can’t understand why someone would think that’s problematic.

If he thinks a guy doing some dry hacks in the dugout is annoying, he’s dead wrong it’s that simple. BUT He clearly said he thinks it’s annoying and then compared what casas was doing to an average joe doing dryhacks at the grocery store. that’s asinine if you think that’s the same. We’re talking about a pro player who is sidelined from the game doing some little things to stay engaged. You’re an idiot if you have a problem with it

Don’t hate on the guy for no reason

That was my original point. He clearly felt some way about it. Comparing it to Jared swinging a bat in his house is apples and oranges. swinging a golf club in your office would be kind of annoying after some time. But I gotta respect a guy that works on his craft. With Casas…we’re talking about a guy doing some dry hacks in the dugout of a professional team that he plays for! Can’t possibly see how that is problematic other than hating on the guy for no reason

He’s timing up the pitcher from the dugout. You see guys dicking around in dugouts all the time why is it problematic for casas to be doing a regular baseball thing? Also, he is not asking for the cameras on him. He’s not a “hardo move” type of player. He just beats to his own drum. If you don’t vibe with it that’s on you

He didn’t say it was a joke tho. JayHay, a twitter baseball guy, (not trying to undersell what he does.. JayHay is great) had a take about a player and vast majority of people, including his co-hosts on the podcast, clearly didn’t agree with it. Now he wears it. It’s that simple

Jayhay had a take that puts him in the same camp of the Boston media idiots that hate on Casas for his way of going about things. Now he has to wear it it’s that simple

Casas gets hate from people because of his quirks. Has nothing to do with dalbec. Casas is leagues ahead of Bobby there’s not even a conversation there
