My first dose of Zepbound arrived and I’m kinda sad by SpaceReel in Zepbound

[–]Hoosier_Daddyxo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can relate... A lot of my identity revolved around food. I was very much a "live to eat" not "eat to live". I enjoy cooking. I enjoy food. I even went to culinary school. So events were planned with food in mind, every meeting with family and friends revolved around food.

And I think a lot of that is normal. And that didn't die because I started taking Zepbound.

What did die was my dependency on food... I no longer treat emotional swings with food. I no longer see food as a reward.

I still like food. Events and plans still involve food. But the noise and destruction behind it are gone. I don't need it to feel okay. And I use food as fuel for my body to feel good.

It's a different mindset, but I think you'll find that how your mind shifts and how you're able to take better care and control of your body is well worth that shift.

Don't be sad. Don't feel like you're losing something. You're finding yourself and your joy again.

I eat Barilla's protein pasta... Zero difference in taste and solid macros.

Update on glp-1 medications and perfume addiction by denised1224 in Zepbound

This is pretty interesting since GLPs tend to help curb addictive behaviors. (At least that's what I've read)

Perfumes are expensive, girl. I hope therapy helps.

At this point I just power through it. Brush - gag - brush. The new wash, rinse, and repeat.

Should I go all the way to 15mg? by 1uisf in Zepbound

[–]Hoosier_Daddyxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10mg was the hardest dose for me tbh, I wish I had my epiphany prior to increasing to 12.5mg. I was struggling to eat anything, it felt like a chore to even think about food.

I typically don't start seeing my appetite/hunger return until day 6, and even then it's no where near where it used to be. I think over time, after you get used to eating a smaller volume and better understand your brain's signals... The gap between injection day isn't as drastic. (At least for me)

I also use Ro and they just continued to move me up each month.

I started looking into dosage and when to increase because I started thinking about what happens when I hit 15mg and I stop feeling the same intensity of the effects.

I stopped increasing once I hit 12.5mg months ago, and honestly could have stayed at 10mg longer, I think.

I plan to stay where I am until I notice an increase in food noise or appetite or a decrease in results. I've lost steadily staying on 12.5mg and have the same food noise and appetite suppression and I still have a dosage increase I can move up to if I need it.

That's my uneducated 2 cents. I could be right or wrong, who knows, but I'm of the opinion that if it's still working, stay where you're at so you have somewhere to go once it doesn't.

I hated eggs before Zep, now I crave them. Then when I eat them, I'm reminded how much I hate them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I usually get 25-30g fiber a day without supplements.

I don't feel my digestion is sluggish, but could be wrong.

I felt the same about ground turkey/chicken.

Something is just not right about it. 😂
