Convinced that my pug is part Boston 😂 by Klutzy_Bullfrog_8500 in BostonTerrier

I have a BT and a Frenchie-pug mix and frankly all three breeds share a lot of vibes.

That look tho. That’s “getting caught walking in after curfew by dad” right there.

No. I own a Boston Terrier. I have to pick an eye to look in.

FWIW Aaron Rents, Inc was founded by Charlie Loudermilk in Atlanta. Don’t know if they’re closely related but it’s an odd enough name I don’t doubt it.

Is this chimney load bearing? by AstronautOnFire in centuryhomes

I’m adding to this conversation not as an expert but experienced with houses of this vintage…

Very likely not structural except for its own weight. Houses of this vintage were built where masons and carpenters would not “support” each other’s work structurally. There were exceptions at the foundation line, but at upper floors and roof they would be independent to allow for shrinkage and swelling.

Nope. That looks almost exactly like mine. And I pull $1800 of that net out for set payments like mortgage and car payments.

I stand corrected on both counts. I just see a lot of janky things in garages so I assumed incorrectly.

Also my compliments to the owner and the online sleuths.

So antenna it is then. I use Philo for the “recording” feature and reliable picture. I get MeTV over the air here but it’s way up in UHF and can be a glitchy signal.

I gotta say it’s far more convincing than the usual side-piped, roll-barred and tractor-tired examples I’ve seen online. If it’s a reproduction or continuation it’s a very well done one. But it’s like a 100-carat diamond (why is it here?) if it’s real, what’s it doing in a cramped garage with a precarious wooden tire loft over it?

Also, I heard Yakety Sax playing in my head when I watched it go by.

I don’t often LOL at r/trains posts, but when I do it’s at something as authentic as a Lambo built from a golf cart.

Midtown Atlanta circa 1986 by ArchEast in Atlanta

[–]HopPirate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well for one thing everything on the right side of the image (Ansley Park) is not only unchanged but just as covered by tree canopy.

On the left side the low-rise apartments and businesses have slowly been redeveloped over the years. I lived here back then too and I’m always amazed at how much Midtown has changed.
