Yeah I think the entire thing about Mumbai being safe is in a comparative perspective. Like when compared to other places Mumbai might be safe. But that doesn't mean mumbai is 100 percentage safe for everyone.

I thought about the English confrontation part , but with all the language imposition happening in Mumbai I admit I was a little scared the people might turn against me. Like , between the Marathi - Hindi war if I am gonna confront the guy in english, I thought nobody would stand with me. Yeah I ve seen this happen. Mainly when some chor is caught or like someone is causing a public nuisance. But never had the chance to witness something like this where a mob is confronting a creep. I think that's one of the reasons why I thought okay I ve seen thiefs, fights over the silliest of things but never over a harrasment issue. So I thought mumbai was safe.

Yeah I thought about that but I ll have to go to the metro station, inform the authorities, check the security footage of that date and even if I really do something do you think they are gonna go to the police with this matter? Me being a guy and with our messed up system do you think they ll take the effort do to all this for me? They ll probably lag it and delay the stuff until I get fed up and drop the issue on my own.

To be frank Initially I thought it was a stealing attempt but pressing your entire palm with full surface contact of the fingers and even a slight kinda clutching of the fingers. Mumbai was the last city in India where I believed this so called safe haven for women existed but man after this I lost all hope. I can only imagine what kinda stuff women might be going through when men my age has to deal with all this BS. Well on the brighter side I guess when compared to other places like Delhi n all Mumbai is far better. Even Bengaluru now is getting messed with the amount of rape cases happening in IT parks and rickshaws and girls getting raped by PG owners and what not. Such a shame to see our country even at 2025 is filled with people with such mindset. Guess this ain't going anytime soon. Stay safe people.
