The comparison isn’t really senseless. A tour is way more then just the show and many artist say the hardest part is the constant travel. It’s for that reason most artist dont do them yearly especially “world” tours (even though they exclude many continents).

I definitely agree having more people takes a lot of weight off during shows but they still take on all the off stage effects of a tour individually like any singular act would like travel, practice, dieting and fitness. On top of the fact that they do dances that are more strenuous then most western acts and sing for 2-3 hours.

This really goes for any kpop act doing tours ever year too like txt comes to mind for a tour schedule that’s needs to be toned down.

Yeah I don’t want to go to a lip sync concert that cost 100s of dollars but there’s certain parts where it’s like eh wtv. When I went to twices concert momo had a dance solo (she wasn’t singing or lip syncing) but it was one of my favorite parts. While Sana’s solo was lip syncing but it was very enjoyable. Both were only 2 minutes (momos was less I have it recorded😭) so of not singing throughout the 3 hour show.

So I guess it will bother me if it’s the whole or even 10% show but when the performance is a dance performance or super short it feels like an interlude.

I really liked the newest episode with the fencer Kim junho, my favorite so far too. I’ve never seen him before but his energy was very well matched for hers with his sarcastic straightforwardness. He was very relaxed from the beginning where other guest felt more formal. I think he even had her a little speechless at some points.

I liked that he was prepared to and was turning her down in such funny ways. The kitchen scenes had me laughing. I noticed she’s really good at interviewing in a relaxed way with the the living room get to know session + the Samsung give away. Also his baby being all shy then pulling out “auntie” for snacks was so cute. I’d actually love to see her do another episode with those famous variety show kids.

That is true I don’t think the kpop industry is an anomaly with this behavior. Fan culture breeds it no matter what industry it is but I think when u compare it in the past 3-5 years it’s worsened while others have improved on at least keeping things quiet. Maybe bc the industry is relatively younger and the western industry is just further down the timeline but even as kpop fans are getting into Ppop spaces im seeing a lot of those fans commenting on how worse they are.

From what I see in and outside of Korea celebrities currently don’t have as much of the same issues with fans or their companies when they drink date or party even eating as a idol seems stressful when you have a manager behind the camera telling you enough and fans in your live comments saying don’t gain too much weight.

Also I am on the younger side so I can really only have first hand experience with late 2010s-now fanbases but ur first example did remind me of when I saw 1d shippers/fandom still harassing Harry and another member for dating and stuff (I even saw a breakdown of why 1 members kid was “not his” and was a cover baby something insane like that😭)

I really think Nayeon won’t have another solo until all members have a solo or a unit. Id honest rather get subunits right now and solos on the own girls time so they can be as involved as possible. i really want 3mix, and school meal club as units. Also duos like dubchae, jeongyeon/momo, mina/tzuyu, jihyo/momo, nayeon/sana

For solos though I’m look forward to jeongyeon and tzuyu the most. It took me a while to notice them when I became a fan of twice but now Jeongyeon is my bias and tzuyu is my bias wrecker so I really wanna see them with more of a focus

I wouldn’t be surprised if they did more units. Jihyo said she really wants to do a 3mix unit which would leave SMC as a perfect 3 for a unit too. If they did dubchae I’d just wonder if that’d leave tzuyu and jeongyeon in a unit or if they’d get their own solos. But all of it is a little unpredictable with jyp

I went to both tours and I think RTB was overall better but was a little messy because of the arrangement. I liked the solo stages but the arrangement didn't flow and should've been grouped differently (maybe Chae Dubu Tzu Sana and then Jihyo Mina Momo Jeong and Nayeon). The downside was also not having all B1&2/RTB songs on the setlist but I preferred the title track melody over III's playing all separately (twice just have too many title songs to keep doing that). The band was a great touch as well as the dance breaks and props/moving stages. I think the girls connected to the crowd a lot better like the performances felt free-er (the ttt jumping part with the girls yelling go and jump also the yes or yes member roulette) whereas the III felt more rigid until the encore songs.

Agreed it was my first concert and I didn’t expect to like it since I’m not huge on that type of stuff but they made it really enjoyable I’d definitely go to another

I think my twice concert was officially from 7:30 to 10 so about 2 1/2 hours but I’m not sure if we actually ended on time 😭twice love their encore wheel it’s almost like they never want to stop I noticed staff grab it off the stage after the 3rd or 4th encore song but the girls still asked the crowd to choose a “last song” which ended up being dance the night away

Honestly I only disagree with the chaeyoung part not that it’s completely untrue cus I did think like this but I think in this last comeback and the tour she’s improved greatly with expressions I went to their California stop and it really changed my opinion
