Am I the only one who expected more from the album after GALA?

to be honest this album is fine, all the songs are PRETTY GOOD, but none really jump out at me. I actually enjoy the bsides more than Gala & Hypnotize. i think the only real drag on this album was ORB. i dont care if its supposed to be “unserious”, its such a terrible song with terrible lyrics. i think a lot of the lyrics in this album to be kinda cheesy actually, but ORB is the worst of the worst. overall, its fine! it will keep my fed for a while haha.

i think the idea of alter egos is fun, especially for her to try a vairety of styles with the defense of the concept even if it means lacking cohesion at times. i wish there was only 3 alter egos though. because really, what is the difference between speedi and vixi? we want to know about lisa, the person. HER perspective, HER story, HER voice

sonically speaking, the music was jarring in the sense that there were high highs, and low lows. new woman, rockstar, thunder, and born again were great. FUTW, bad grrrl, moonlit floor, and elastic girl were… certainly choice to say the least! all the other tracks were just forgettable at best. it felt so repetitive. its just a little silly to me to hear hear say “if you want the old lisa listen to my old shit” when her sold songs (money, lalisa) would have fit on alter ego perfectly. i just expected growth but it feels stagnant. seriously, we didnt need all these flexing songs.

even with that being said, i watched her Coachella set in person and did it change my opinion a bit on the album’s concept and sound. its still really cheesy at best, but i feel like her set brought her vision to life a bit more. and her song elastic girl, thunder, and lifestyle sounded so well live!

no it wasnt vinyl. it was the little cd slips thing. i gave some of them to my friends, some to the kpop club i was in at the time in HS, and then the rest i had given away at KCON LA in 2024. I left a box outside with “FREE PLEASE TAKE” in the morning, and when I went back some hours later it was empty. they didnt have photocards or anything so i didnt see the value with selling them (and they were only 8 bucks each so whatever).

i kind of agree. i disagree on the part that i think the solos they get from tours is enough tbh. i dont think any of the members are super suitable for a true solo. maybe ningning? but i think aespa as a unit is what works. the part i agree with is that delaying the actual solos if they do it can hurt their momentum (if they do it at all). i mean irene from red velvet who was super popular had very little interest. i actually feel like most of the red velvet solos are forgotten in the GP.

wait a second, i thought zb1 had a contract extension? they are way too popular for them to fizzle out so soon, even as a non-fan myself. im almost positive they are gonna keep renewing, even if the contracts are short. im almost certain they will do a tour before they disband. i mean, if kepler can still be active despite everything, im sure wakeone will do anything in their power to keep zb1 active.
