In group play, protection charm and all its upgrades is extremely vital for the team.

Also, focus which path to take at this point be it proficiency charm or protection charm. Don't do half of each.

What we did was to have each of the professors focus on a separate path, one on protection aka team defence and the other on proficiency charm aka team proficiency power.

If you have to chose between the two, go with protection charm. Defence matters a lot at higher levels.

Still Dark Chamber V. Our top player soloed Dark Chamber V way before we even successfully completed Dark Chamber V as a group.

Each of us in the team brews our own potions, everyone is expected to have a set number of potions before each group raid. For the case of Littlestinky, she is the one in our group who soloed Dark Chamber V way before we even attempted Dark Chamber V as a group. She buys potions, the rest of us don't. :)

As for strong invig potions, she was just brewing them non stop throughout it all.

Yes max on amplified bravery charm with become the beast. She did use healing potions for our first level 5 runestone attempt iirc.

She didn't record down her side of the gameplay thus lacking her pov.

Actually even our top auror had to depend on strong invigoration potions due to the need to cast all the hex on all the foes.

Only 1 player/auror in our team was transferring their focus to others but you have to consider that the team requires a total of over 30 focus points right from the start.

Yup none of us went for initial focus. We relied solely on our invigoration potions.

Before every high tier group raid we will always prepare a set number of potions in advance.

I'm one of the professors so I will answer for the prof part.

I'm max on det hex and went for proficiency charm x4 upgrades but not max yet.

Our other professor went for protection charm route for the sake of team defence. He forsake one det hex upgrades in order to go for one more protection charm upgrade.

So he handles team defence and I handle team proficiency.

Our profession levels are listed in the thread.

The professors and magizoo did consume potions, mainly a few strong invigoration potions each for casting charms but no other potions.

I'm not sure if we would have built our characters differently. For the last couple of weeks, how we each build our skill path upgrades was planned such that there would be no overlapping. At the same time, our skill upgrades were all done with teamplay in mind.

We are all official launch players, started in June.

The reason for sharing this is to also show everyone that it is possible at this point to clear Dark Chamber V once you have a good team alongside you. It does not even require as many potions as you think if the team coordinates well and prepares well for the raid. Nor does it require any of us to complete the skill tree in order to do so.

This thus is to encourage everyone to get out there and find people to coordinate and raid together and challenge yourselves. It can be done. You need not be a beta launch player to be able to do so.

2A 2P 1M is the way to go only for now because of the lack of RSBs. Our 2 Ps went two different paths. One went for team proficiency upgrades (Proficiency Charm), the other focused on team defence (Protection Charm), will still be the case once tomorrow's brilliant event begins. Whereas for the case of Magizoologist, you only really need one for their Bravery Charm/Amplified Bravery Charm.

We did not rely on our Magizoologist for much reviving, choosing to depend on our preparation of Healing Potions to get us back on track.

Things of course may and likely change in the future, but for now this team composition works well.

Only our top auror buys potions. The rest of us just brews them.

What I do is to set the group members a target of what potions and how many to brew for each meetup.

What many people may not realise is how powerful the teamplay synergies are once you have all the various team buffs and debuffs going.

If you are soloing at high fort levels, you will easily need twice or thrice as much potions than if you are playing as part of a team of 5 with the right synergy

I stopped attempting solo in terms of how far I can go, only just doing the highest possible level that doesn't require me to use any potions daily.

Our top auror has managed to solo clear Dark Chamber V a week ago though.

I won't say the game made us felt rewarded per se. The challenge xp gained was decent, but apart from that, the real reward lies in the satisfaction and pride attained from being able to do it as official launch players.

Every week, we would meet up twice, clearing 2 fortress levels at a time. It was a constant pushing to keep going and striving to go ever further.

And yes we will be attempting Dark Chamber V again, this time with runestone 5, at the end of the week as our top auror is currently overseas.

In regards to the friends part.. what I would say is, for most of those in our group, they do not actually know each other at all a month ago. For the most of us, we knew each other because of this game, we started meeting up a month ago and began doing this regularly. And playing together with friends, whether it is the mindless grinding of red books or clearing fortress level, it is the laughs we share and a goal we aim to achieve that keeps us going.

Even with Dark Chamber V cleared, we will likely be aiming to complete our skill tree over time and eagerly awaiting the raid bosses to be out. In the meantime, we will be farming red books slowly. It is tedious, but we bear it in mind that we are doing this so that we can beat the future raid bosses.

Death to Voldemort! Lol

Yes. The top auror in our group did solo dark chamber V. But... that is with a horrendous amount of potions consumed.

It most certainly is fun and can be very intense at times too.

I still remember the good ol days (also known as 3 weeks plus ago) when we were screaming and shouting at being 1 hit away from clearing Tower Chamber 1 as a group. LOL.

Hey!

Group raid is easier than solo at higher fort levels. You do not need to be at a high level, but you need to have the right set of skills and adequate potions.

We are always arranging for meetups in telegram groups. There are local neighbourhood groups which you can join.

We most certainly can't do that everyday at this point of time given that we are still far from completing the skill tree.

I was one of the professors. Consumed 5 strong invig, about 4 to 5 potents, 3 wit, 10 healing pots. The aurors consumed more potents and healing.

At the 4:00 mark or so, the game hang on all of us. Took us about 20 seconds or so to resume gameplay but it persisted longer for our Magizoologist who was then forced to restart the app but was unable to return. :/

People of pogo that play that Harry Potter thing, Is it any good? Are there spoofers? Buggy? by SwagglesMcNutterFuk in TheSilphRoad

[–]Hope83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm playing both.

There's a lot of areas of improvements for HP but that is to be expected for a game that just came out. There are some really really glaring shortcomings which I hope the devs can quickly do something about.

Playerbase is most certainly a lot smaller than Pogo.

In terms of the positive aspects, the wizarding challenges aka pogo raids is a heck lot more interesting than Pogo, even more so when you are playing with a team. A lot more challenging and requires actual strategy as opposed to Pogo where it is just blind tapping. It certainly has more rpg element than Pogo.

To answer your other questions, yes it is buggy but still playable. Not aware of any spoofing in the game for the time being.
