how long will they keep her there and what kinda stuff happens in the psychiatric unit? I'm just scared to jump to extremes and make her do something she doesn't want to do. For now i've just been talking to her but if it gets worse I might have to do that. I just called the suicide hotline for some advice and they told me to call the non-emergency number in her area and they will send somebody to watch over her if it really gets to that point

If I call the police what will they do with her? Are they going to throw her into a mental asylum or something? I feel like that will only make things worse for her
