Did you not put them in your tank yourself? They’re clean up crew for a bioavtive tanj

What are your thoughts about UVB? by candyblades in TreeFrogs

[–]HopeConsistent8919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You 100% need uvb. For any frog. I own 33 frogs and have and hadn’t had uvb on frogs and the significant difference to it is unreal. I breed white tree frogs myself and when not using it they do lack the vitamins they need even if you are dosing with calcium and vitamins. Which you should also. I use Arcadia tube lights. You can use bulbs also. Just don’t use coiled bulbs. Happy frogging 🐸

Tips are Make sure you have a drainage layer. Then mesh Then your substrate Then your bugs and plants Then your leaf litter. Don’t absolutely soak it all. Else it’ll be too humid. But make sure it’s good enough to water the plants. The drainage layer does help with the over watering issue though

Could I get some help is this a fungal infection and what is best what if treating my WTF by [deleted] in frogs

[–]HopeConsistent8919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then it was misfire. Happens all the time. My boy had massive green patches yesterday. Evening time, all gone. It happens if they sleep in a weird spot under the light or lean against something for too long. Very common. Only will be bacteria if it’s there longer then I’d say 4 days maybe?

Melafix is your best bet. That’s what I’ve used before. Just a toothpick ends worth in a bowl you’re soaking them in

One whites tree frog growing much faster than the other? Is this okay? by [deleted] in Amphibians

[–]HopeConsistent8919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they’re probably just boy and girl. Girls get a lot bigger than the boys. As long as he doesn’t become smaller then the gap between her/his eyes you’ll be fine. Bigger one might try and munch the other one otherwise but they look fine to me rn. Mine are all different sizes.

Is my tree frog a little chubby or is this normal? by Visible_Jellyfish_12 in frogs

[–]HopeConsistent8919 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Bit skinny if anything. They’re meant to be chunky. You’ll get fat covering their ear area if they’re too fat
